I know this might be a touchy subject, but what do you think?
Is abortion right or wrong?
should it be banned or isn't it like killing a real person.

To me, its wrong... unless its a baby from a rape or something that you never planned for. if its planned then its wrong.

Agreed, but to a certain point.

Sure its her body but that does not justify her action. She must have gotten it from:
A) Being forced into sex
B) Medical reasons
C) Fear of not being able to provide enough to survive

If they were stupid enough to fall pregnant because of not wearing protection, then they shouldn't be allowed to abort as this encourages the non-use of condoms, which could lead to more cases of HIV/Aids spreading around.

I believe that with a legitimate reason, such as the child will not be taken care of, and will have a horrible childhood if he even survives, then abortion should be permitted. However, after watching the film, "Lake of Fire", I believe that with any inadequate reason, such as not wanting a male child, the mother should not be allowed an abortion.

Is this all you have to say? At least be reasonable. The baby has a life of it's own, even if it's still in the mothers uterus, it doesn't receive natural rights the second its born, it receives them when it has the same characteristics as a living thing.

Atheists aren't machines who just logically consider all actions before performing something - they have feelings and emotions and are capable of empathy to. They just don't believe in something as outlandish as the idea of a god.

"Human" has two different meanings. One is a biological term, used to denote membership of homo sapiens, and the other is a term used to describe certain qualities that we value. Biologically, a fetus is human, but to accord a fetus rights based on that sole premise is arbitrary.

Physically, it has started to develop into a baby, but can it feel pain? Can it conceive of itself as a distinct entity? Is it conscious? Is there any difference between it and, say, a slug in terms of self-awareness?

Ending a baby's opportunity to live out it's life. If you don't want the baby, give birth to it, and put it up for adoption, don't screw around if your not ready in the first place.

It's just like suicide. It maybe one's body, but Why would you Let someone do that to themselves?
