Leecher status

I think both your arguments are two opposite points on a spectrum. The correct answer lies in the middle.

 

I think post count matters, I dont think join date matters though as someone whos joined 2yrs ago who has like 75posts? I would treat them as someone who has 75posts who joined like 2weeks ago.

Well tbh, this is always bought up as a major issue, when it shouldn't be an issue, at the end of the day, post count is relative to how they contribute to the community. I.e someone who posts a lot of relative helpful comments seem to want to aid the community in some sort of fashion.

I don't understand how people can say they'd trust someone from early 2006 with a low post count, it just means they haven't contributed to the community whtsoever and leeched for so many years, Sythe (as in the owner of this website) is not stupid, i think he's though this through very well.

Post count does count for some sort of trustworthiness however, just look and use common sense at the users profile, and do the relative research required on the user you're trading with, if the user posts 20 times a day and joined a month ago, chances are they're going to scam, look them up using search function, it's a very helpful tool and has saved me so many times.

I mean, i'm not saying you should purely base your trust on post count, but don't be stupid, the status' do stand for something, if people reported spam correctly, like they should, it would stop people gaining 'ranks' when they shouldn't gain 'ranks'.

Only lazy people who have no interest in the community don't join in, and they always complain when people base them on their status, i mean, i was once a leecher, granted, but contribute to the community and it won't be an issue to you, will it? Don't complain, act!

Well anyway, i could ramble on all day and all night about this, but honestly, the status 'leecher' is there for a reason, it means you're a leecher, and don't contribute to the community. G'day y'all...

 

I hate this comment, so just because he doesn't post a lot he is a bad person? You think because he posts not much, he immediatly advertises and scams.
It's just like here in Holland, all people say that people from the outside (Allochtonen) are bad and steal things. Everybody points at them, like it's always their fault when something goes wrong, im so tired of this.

And stop saying 'This is the Internet'. Yes it is the internet, so why can't you have respect for each other here? I think it's fair enough that we treat everyone as a human, and not as some sort of stupid noob who just came here and like he is a baby or whatever.
I agree that people who have been here longer know more about the community are allowed to have more rights than other, but that was not my point.
My point was the fact that people treat leechers so bad, and it is not just leechers, everyone with a low post count.
You don't have to say 'Stupid noob leecher!' It's not a nice thing to say.

The first day you come to a new school, you've just moved from another state. You go to school and in the beginning you don't know anybody.

I'de honestly say it's the people with large post counts and who earn some vouches to do big scams >_< who are more dangerous than leachers at the moment since people are so weary of them :nuts: .

Yes I agree with this, you need to gain trust.

People don't randomly flame leechers for existing, they flame them for posting something stupid which they have no knowledge of whatsoever.

You will never see a leecher with 0 posts being randomly attacked, unless a SPAMMER has particularly targeted that person's name. Even so, who gives a shit?

And not all human's are equal, you moronic mass of insolence, they may function the same, they may have the same bodily reactions, but the way they process information, the way they think/feel/react, and the rest of the human element makes them different. If all humans were equal, there would be no diversity.

Furthermore, you have not shown the intelligence required to gain respect, or even a hint of such. All I see is a person who is complaining that they aren't treated as everyone's friend. You should truly get used to it, as you're not the same as everyone else, and as such, not everyone is going to respect you, your property, your opinions, or anything else involving you.

My advice, right now, would be that you drop such a fiasco of complaints and focus on the real issue:

Gain some mother fucking intelligence, before you mother fuckers post.

It's better to be silent, and thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. (In this case... type and remove all doubt).

No on insults a leecher based on their status as a leecher, frankly, no veterans read that shit. They read the post, and reply accordingly. If the post sucks, and the person is a leecher, then they can expect a flame. If the post is intelligent, abd the person is knowledgeable, then the reply will be in accordance. Rarely will anyone even notice you're a newfag if you don't act like one. (hint hint) .

The other day some guy (he was a leecher) just responded on a thread and the owner said 'Omg.. a leecher is talking to me?' ..
That's the shit I hate. That really pisses me off.

And ofcourse not everyone is the same, otherwise the world would be very boring. There would be nothing to talk about cause everyone would agree with eachother.
But at the end of the day everyone's a human, you go to sleep and wake up, do the same as everyone else.

You completely missed the point. No RESPECTED veteran will flame a leecher just because they are a leecher. They evaluate the post, not the person, unless the person is well known by that respected veteran.

And yes, I am higher than you. I have more rights than you, I am more respected than you, and I can do more than you can.

Ummm too what you said this is sorta a sign of discrimnation i mean no everyone that plays runescape is on 24 hrs a day or on every day of the week so you can't expect for people to post 25 times in a month i mean people get banned for saying stuff like nice acc cuz people don't see it as a nice jesture people go z0mg z0mg hes trying to hax me or some random kiddy crap and report em for spam i mean im a leecher sure but i got 1 legit vouche....So i meani guess some of what u say is true but some meh way off...
