no, it doesnt bug me, because most of the time noone really cares, and if someone is spamming hard, they'll be reported... sometime that "yes" or " on MSN now" is simple, but helpful

matter a fact.... why don't we just change the name of the site from sythe.org to scammers.org

no post count would make that come true

precisely... and btw, whoever says that only the staff can be trusted is mentally retarded... theres at least 20 people (that are NOT staff) I know that I have trusted my main account with, bank pin and everything... and not one of them touched my mills or hacked me, sure you get a few people every so often, but you have to play it smart and do some research before entrusting your stuff or trading with someone

Post Count is good, it doesn't show trust, but it gives you a good idea of how much of a reputation the person your trading with, and if your trading with someone with 500 posts compared to 76, there less likely to scam you, since they have more to lose if they do(there sythe account).

if someone has 70 post count in 2 days sythe staff will keep a eye on them due to their excessive posts in a short period of time.

most of the time post count/join date does determine trust because you haven;t scammed in 4 years of being on sythe why start now some people think.

i have a reasonable amount of post count and joined this year don't mean i am gonna scam

This is a stupid idea. How about an IQ test of every person who signs up to Sythe? That way there will be less scams because the people who are actually intelligent enough to pass the IQ test will realize that post count does not equal trust.

    Lol agreed.

If someone spams your thread, its called the "report post" button.

Post count may not be 100% trustable, but it is more trustable than someone with none. A person with low post count has less to lose than someone with a higher post count since they put more time and effort into being active on the site.

I support this idea. Post count is meaningless and should be removed.

I think that post count should stay. It shows how active the user is. Although there are people that end up with like 1000 posts in like 1-2 weeks, got to be careful of them, they are usually scammers:(

I don't really support your particular idea because there are a lot of people who created accounts long time ago and would just wait until they are given "guru" status, etc... then scam.

I like the idea of some sort of formula with post count and joined date, but then again it wont make much of a difference. We should just leave it the way it is.

We could enforce reporting spam threads/posts.

i dont see how this can help prevent scamming. in that case, i should create 5,000 accounts and come back 5 months later...
