504 Errors- Service Unavailable?

Just curious but this has been a bad thing now. I will get a 504 error saying Service Temporarily UnAvailable when I go to click on a forum thread. Happens alot when I try to get my pm. It goes away and I never get one for weeks then I get them alot then they go away again. So is this normal or just my computer?

 

Its the server, not your computer. It happens to everyone when its happening to you.

is there a way to fix it? like is there some option on sythe about graphics or something so it doesnt happen?

 

People attack us or it just goes down. Our servers are already expensive enough and it never lasts very long. It used to go hours of being down due to attacks and stuff.

 

I remember back in the day it was down for a few days once. Kids these days with their get it done, don't crash attitudes.

 

it's not that bad but when you're in the middle of a trade and a person asks you to pm them to make sure its you and you cant becuase of error.. it makes you look like a scammer or something

You could build your own server, a good and expensive one, and host the site for free.

The server sometimes gets hit offline or just becomes unresponsive, however the downtime lasts like 1-2 minutes at the max. Nothing to worry about if you ask me :S.

 

I get that a lot. Refreshing helps.
