A=P(1+i)n The "n" is small at the top so squared im guessing.

Example:

A = 800(1+0.01)20 20 being small at top.

A = 1188.76


For some resone i cant figure these out.

Remember the number at the end is smaller and at the top.

It isn't 1188.76 it's supposed to be 976.152032 i'm pretty sure..

used your equation and also using a financial calculator and came up with the same answer.. either your numbers are wrong or the solution is wrong.

 

The answer to the second one is 844.26. You have to use order of operations: PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction) So you add up in the parentheses first, and then you raise it to the 7th power (multiply it by itself 7 times). Finally you multiply that number by 600.

The first one is what the guy above said.

The steps you should take are:
1. work out whats in the brackets so (1+0.05) = 1.05
2. Then raise it by the power (1.05)7 = 1.407100423...
3. Times by the number in front 1.407100423...x 600 = 844.2602536
Answer (2 decimal places) = 844.26

Just out of interest is this compound interest you are doing

 

We use a similar method, same meaning; BIDMAS:
Brackets - 1 + 0.05= 1.05
Indices -1.05 to the power of 7 = 1.40710042265625
Division - No division
Multiplication - 600 * 1.40710042265625 = 844.26025359375
Addition - No addition
Subtraction - No subtraction
