Laptop help !

I am in need of purchasing a laptop.

I'm not a Mac-man, so i'm going to need it to be Windows.

Basically all i need it for is:

1: Photoshop/Vegas
2: Some games (call of duty 4, runescape?)
3: AIM/MSN
4: Just smooth/fast internet browsing.

My price range is basically $500 USD and under.

Any help on what I should get is extremely appreciated. I've never actually bought a laptop, so I am not entirely sure what would be sufficient.

u cant get anything for USD$500 son according to your wants. Ya maybe a "used" one, id suggest get a sony Vio.

You can get one on ebay for around that used. with good feautres.

Good luck playing Call of Duty 4 on a $500 laptop, that's all I have to say

You'd have to get some ABSURD deal, as that requires a PC with at the very least an 8600m to play smoothly, and those things are expensive for some idiotic reason (hard to find a laptop with non-integrated graphics for under 700 :/)

I think this could possibly do it... I found it kind of hard to find the specifications of all the many mobiule GPUs but it looks to me like this is enough to run COD4.

I'm sure I could put my own graphics card in later. Basically, all I need this for at the moment, is to run Photoshop, Bridge etc. smoothly with little or no lag; and browse the internet smoothly. Maybe even play CoD. If it can't handle CoD, oh well. It'd be nice to have some capabilities is all.
