45 vs 30 Defence?

Firstly, you can get a firecape at any defence level. Secondly, are you really going to pk with a torso/firecape? I'd go with the 30 def first and if you don't like it then go 45.

 

I have decided on 35 defence. I can get barrows gloves, which is nice. You guys are right I am not pking in torso so it really isn't needed. Also 35 can wear agile armor, which is better than prossy =).

don't train any defense exp, get it purely from quests. Keep in mind 40 def gets veng as well. Serker helm is worth 1.25 cmb levels over 40 def.

 

Agile armour is welfare garbage.
No offensive bonuses and terrible melee/range defensive bonuses. I'd stick with prossy at 34 def (lowest def possible with bgloves).

I'd also reccomend trying low prayer (16/34) in the beginning but of course that adds another layer of difficulty to do some of the harder quests.

Don't you get zerker at lvl 45 def? but then again, the lower your def, the better
