If the account died, I just checked. My worker informed me that the internet service went down during the demonstrations and the rumors of a coup d'état in my country. 2 days ago there were presidential elections in my country and we had a cut in electricity and internet service. There are also rumors of military intervention by the southern command, Colombian and Argentine military to our country. I can provide a legacy replacement I have no problem, I will pay out of pocket the bond.

That is why I could not respond to the messages yesterday, I think that this complaint was unnecessary but I understand the concern about my late response. I ask you to please understand that my country is right now going through an insertion and violence in the streets and despite that we strive to work and complete each job understanding that we have no control over the political and violent events that we have experienced these last 2 days.

And yes I did reach out, yesterday morning to see how it was going and then last night when I checked the highscores and noticed it died.

The problem I have with this is I never purchase accounts because I have seen time and time again people will sell off level 3 skillers with 99 firemaking and after the warranty has "expired" and the buyer has done countless hours of training / funding the account, the account magically gets recovered and there is nothing that can be done.

I think the obvious would be refund of 200m would be a good start... but then there's now 2 useless non tradable bonds and 13 days of membership that is completely useless on the account that wont be touched again.

I think I should be entitled to some sort of compensation for ruining the account, the 3 bonds (1 being used)

I'd be open to settling with the 200m, 3 bonds traded to an account of mine (not the useless shit account you've turned my HC into) and some sort of random ass TUT legacy account. (dont want it to be a long ass login like [email protected]) and if it ever gets locked or recovered from me you better be able to unlock or recover it or owe whatever amount you have donated to sythe to me.

Given the state of Venezuela currently it's reasonable to assume a loss of power would be inevitable and I too have workers who have been impacted by this, but I'm not requesting their donation status on Sythe, a new account, & every last GP spent.

I'll also re-iterate again that you've not made any sort of TOS surrounding what would happen if the account were to die -- whether that's continue finishing with a deduction/refund and stopping/etc..

I don't really see how a TOS would mean shit when I stated "99 firemaking on a HCIM" I didn't ask for a "99 firemaking on a IM" sorta implies it should be finished as a HCIM. When he gave me the price it was for 99 firemaking on a HC as well. but sure that is irrelevant.

Anyways, I am asking for the 200m refunded... the 3 bonds that were wasted on the account, a fresh legacy login tut account since he ruined my last legacy one and the insurance if anything ever happens to said account he's liable (a new TOS) basically.... aka anything happens to it and he cant recover it or unlock he pays what ever his sythe donation at the time as a refund because it wont be a level 3 anymore by the time its recovered.

I have seen too many account sellers selling "99 firemaking" "70 Agility" accounts then when their "warranty" is up and the buyer makes a report all they have to do is refund the purchase price which is usually less then 30$ and they get all the lucious loot from the buyer training up the account and leaving X amount of GP on the account that "can never be proved"

hence the reasoning behind wanting protecting from his legacy account he claims he'd replace with.

The deal was to get 99 firemaking on a HCIM account, which is no longer possible to be filled as the worker died on the account - @Baba negra will need to issue a refund of 200m 07 to @Bordercollie127.

@Bordercollie127 still has access to play the account and utilize the bonds that are still on the account, so no reimbursement will be required for those.

To avoid leaving this to staff to decide, I highly suggest outlining these details in any future trades with a mutually agreed upon terms of service.

@Baba negra please post here once the refund has been issued in full.

@Bordercollie127 still has access to play the account and utilize the bonds that are still on the account, so no reimbursement will be required for those.

I am super confused by this, are we just ignoring the fact he ruined a HC account that is basically useless that i had prepped with 2 bonds?

So basically what this means is when i quest on peoples HCIM i can just "lose power and lose their HC status" but only have to refund them what they paid for the quest? I have zero interest in continuing a shit plain ironman account hence the reason i made it HCIM.

 

In the event that something goes wrong, not having agreed to terms of service with your customer will result in the decision being left up to staff.

Due to there being absolutely no terms of service here, this could have been ruled a number of different ways, this ruling being more in your favor than others. Like I mentioned above if you don’t want these decisions to be left to staff, come to a mutual agreement before the trade.

If that is how you're ruling it I would prefer @Sythe to look at this, they have always looked at ironman reports properly unbiased as baba has claimed he works for sythe mods.

The issue regarding the HCIM status was already addressed.

The part in question was whether or not he would be required to reimburse you for bonds and the account itself. Since there were no terms of service and you still have access to the account, he will not be required to reimburse you for these. You can message whoever you’d like to regarding this, but my decision here will stand.
