Other info: This is not the first recovery attempt that has been made on the account, as you can see in the screenshot.
Yes, I am posting this prior to receiving a message back as you can see but as the answer to my previous appeal question was also "no", I feel as if the answer would be the same so I'd rather be formal about it straight away.
The account in question was claimed to be only GetTaxed's account, and that he was the original owner.
The registered email to the account was linked to a private 2fa'd email, which falls back to multiple other 2fa'd emails. There's also no way for my to get social engineered for the recovery information since I do not know the information myself.
Important Information: The account in question is permanently banned for macroing as of last month, and it was my intention to later appeal the account after a lengthy amount of time as it was around 2200 TL, with a ~3B bank. I don't have screenshots of the actual bank, but I do have pictures of me raiding with the bulk of my bank on me.
As there no was no official TOS when purchasing the account, I'd like to think that getting the account banned did not warrant an account recovery. Not only that, but as the account has had prior attempts to it's recovery, I think the bans are irrelevant o the matter, especially since I purchased the account, and it was rightfully mine.
It has also had its 2fa disabled, since I am no longer greeted with a 2fa request regardless of whether the password is correct or not.

Seems to me that you’re trying to get something back from your account that you got permanently banned.

I wish that were the case, but I'd like to think 3 previous recovery attempts with one that was actually discussed prior to the accounts permanent ban is not normal.

As for the idea that I'm merely here for compensation, I'm aware that it is not "normal" to raise a scam report over a permanently banned account as the value of it lies in whether or not it is ever unbanned which isn't something you can predict. Meaning, I'm aware the account is valued at $0 without digging deeper. I'm not here for compensation, because there is none to get while it's banned. I'm here to make a claim against a seller who specifically claimed he was the original, and sole owner of the account in question.

The account has had 3 previous recovery requests in the time that I had it in my possession, and with a unique login name that was never used outside of runescape, I'd like to think I never "leaked". Not that that would do any good anyway, since recovering some random account with no known information from MY end is highly unlikely.

The last password reset was made at 10am on Sunday, 13/11 aest time. It's my weekend off work, and unless I now sleepwalk I can confidently say I did not make that request.

There was only one way this account could be recovered, and it was not by my means.

On 27th July 2022 you said someone tried to recover, I asked you to send that to me but instead we moved on.

come today you say you’ve had MULTIPLE recovery attempts and you botted the account so it’s perm banned.

why didn’t you reach out to me on the other ‘recovery’ attempts?

Anyway nothing I can really do unfortunately, you’ve said that the account is permanently banned.

If you reached out to me I could of recovered it for you, there was no need for some hacker man story.

Do not bot on an account you aren’t prepared to loose.

Furthermore, you can request password change from the login. (Without having the registered email)
I see you openly put the login username in the report so you’ll probably end up getting some more recoveries. Where else have you done this?

I’m assuming you’ve tried multiple times to get it unbanned and failed and hence the report?

As for these password reset requests, I only noticed them now since none of them were successful and have no reason to check a private email tied only to OSRS. That is why I did not reach out, because 1) even if I had, you'd say it wasn't you like the first time and 2) I simply wasn't aware.

As for there being nothing you can do, there is since you can simply recover it and appeal with a relatively high success rate after 2-3 years.

I've reached out, but there is nothing you can do about an appeal from someone who isn't you and definitely wasn't me.

As for botting on an account I'm not willing to lose, I don't care lol. I'm a plugin developer who says that line to plenty of people on a daily basis, I'm aware of the risks and the consequences and as a result, I got banned. That is to not say that I would put the details for the account in the bin, since as mentioned above, you can appeal with a decent success rate after a few years. A near max account, with 3b sitting on it is worth sitting in a notepad file for the next 3 years if you ask me.

As for requesting a password change without an email, yes I'm aware you can do that which is a direct result of having a login username (see zezima as an example).
The problem is, this username is quite unique and only exists on a notepad file in a removable HDD. There is no reason I should ever have to enter this online, outside of initially entering it into 'LastPass'.

Yes, I've tried once to get it banned upon the initial ban around the ~7th of October. Once denied, I moved on since I knew they wouldn't 2nd guess the appeal for another few years at least.

There is no reason for me to ask you, since only the two of us (and now sythe, since it is asked in the appeal report) knew the account username, and only one of us knew the accounts recovery details which is required to successfully recover the account.

As the last password request was the 13th of November, I can confidentially say that up until that moment, this account was in my possession and since I did not request that appeal yesterday and I just so happened to try to login as a result to see the password is not the same, it is unlikely that this is my error.

For the record, it is 10:48PM as of writing this and is time for a nap. I'll check the discussion in the morning prior to work.

You botted on an account that you apparently have wealth on, you got perm banned for botting, you appealed multiple times got denied... Now you want me to recover because we all know that its your only chance of getting the account unbanned from a perm.

Which by the way is no issue at all, you just went about this the wrong way. If you wanted me to submit an appeal on your behalf should of just messaged me rather then make something up.

As there is nothing further that's actually constructive to add to the report on both sides I'm not going to reply again until a Mod does nor will I take any further action until a Mod says so.

There is no wrong way about this, there is only one person with the information required to successfully recover the account with the original information, and that is YOU.

The only person with the information to recover the account this this is YOU, not me. YOU had to have recovered the account for it to end up in this state. And to make matters worse, even if you hypothetically hadn't been the one to recover the account, there is SOMEONE OUT THERE WITH THE ORIGINAL INFORMATION even though you claimed to be the sole original owner.

That, and you're now saying you're not willing to recover the account even though I've asked.

Non TOS account purchases have a 2 year support window, and you're opening saying that you can but WONT recover the account.

So either you're lying about being the sole owner and someone else has the information, you recovered the account, I somehow gained access to all of the original account details, or the magical account recovery fairy is doing the rounds and you're not willing to support me within the 2 year requirement.

Also, I'd hardly call you denying support for the 2 year requirement while admitting to be able to, "Pointless".

You sold the account to me, and it is still technically mine regardless of who is in possession of the account. You're responsible for providing support for a maximum of 2 years, and have yet to do so. That is of course, assuming the only person who could recover the account wasn't actually the one to recover it lol.

So tell me, which one is it.

Is it the magical fairy, you, or does someone else have access to the original account information that only you claim to hold because unfortunately, there is no way for the account to be recovered outside of that.

I'll try simplify it for your sake.

Up until Sunday, 13th of November, the account was in my possession regardless of its actual game status.

From that moment, the account was recovered and is no longer in my possession.

You claim to be the only one with the account information, hence why accusations are being made against you.

Not only that, but assuming it wasn't you, you're denying support within 2 years.

If you didn't do the scamming, you're now scamming by not complying with sythe's account selling rules.

 

Considering it's permanently banned, the default recovery period won't be considered due to the value of the account being inherently worthless. Regarding @Get Taxed not being the original owner, there's not enough evidence here to suggest that. I'm sorry for your loss nevertheless.
