I'm trying to get rid of an xbox 360 and a couple of games. I was thinking of creating an Ebay account and selling it there, but I don't know much about Ebay. Is it reliable? What if I happen to get scammed, what can I do to get the money for my xbox without getting scammed? I would try to sell to gamestop but they are only giving $110 knowing they're going to sell for double that price.

ebay is great. I'm a seller on there and have never had a problem with payments. I'd suggest accepting money orders or paypal.

yea..i suggest to use paypal instead of mail cuz harder to be scammed...

Dowside if using paypal:
cant use it expect for online shopping.

Well you've got to remember, this part is the killer. SHIPPING. =/ This will add on a nice cost to what ever your going to sell it for, and mostly the buyer and seller work a deal out, but I would just post an add in the local paper that your selling it (:.

You could just alch it, all you need is some nats and a fire staff.

Jk. Use ebay, it is pretty reliable I buy things from it all the time and have never had a problem with them. And yes use Paypal and make sure the person you are selling it to is a verified Paypal user.

I don't have experience with ebay but I'm pretty sure it's set up as the opposite of a scam site. So yeah.. I'd trust it

So Paypal can only do online shopping? I thought there was a way to get in cash from Paypal. Also if I happened to get scammed, what can be done?

It's reliable once you know the fundamentals of it

you would have to be an idiot to get scammed as a seller, you dont send the item until you have the cash, simple...

You evidently need to buy/sell some small items before you go into expensive things.
Practise makes perfect.

PS- TradeMe is the way to go! NZ FTW!

Ebays good theres a much less chance you'll be scammed doing that then runescape related stuff. Ebay will make you use paypal or some other online method of transfer. I would avoid paypal and try to find a buyer that will send money order/cash/check by mail.

Ebay will probably be the way to get the most money for your stuff.

Yea, on second thought if you're making an account to sell one item you'd probably be better off selling it in the paper or to a friend.

Ebay works well to sell expensive items that you have no money invested in...if you catch my drift.

It's not like selling runescape accounts or gold. These things are real life items and I think ebay has a seller/buyer insurance type deal.
