2-day macroing ban?

Hey,

I recently bought a service that was claimed to be hand done, but after 1 agility level my account was banned for macroing. The person doing the service claimed that they were using only a vpn and a 3rd party client, but I don’t see any of those being a cause for a macroing ban as you can’t really benefit from a 3rd party client doing agility - except for the hitboxes.

Do you think the service provider actually used a bot to do the service or is there anything else that could’ve triggered the bot detection system?

 

I'm not saying he is lying.... But I play on vpn (Denmark) and have a separate computer on vpn (Ukraine) too, which is also botting 3 accounts, they are going strong still even tho they are 4 months old. No bans yet at all. I might be a lucky guy, but it seems highly unlikely. Agility is an very "high risk" to bot. I had some bots from osbot, which got my accounts banned within the first day.

 

There is a very good chance that he was botting it. There's no way to confirm it and he knows that. Have to be careful with service providers on here. A lot of them outsource work to folks on their "team." Often times these team members are newcomers and don't care if your account gets banned.

 

From my experience it depends on the VPN. The client also plays into it as well because the really are stressing about their client and nothing else.

It’s hard to tell man but you should check his or her service thread for other complaints.

 

Update on the situation: "recovered" my account through email and appealed the ban, the appeal came back in positive today and got the ban quashed.

the chance from client is 0.00001 the chance from a vpn would get account locked , you guess the rest

 

If it was only 1 level either was a flagged user or a bot.

I've seen others get bans while not botting but generally its super rare situations.

It was an account from 2013 with 1900+ total, but I don’t really mind now as I got the ban quashed anyway

 

Yeah just be careful who you let on, always ask where employees are from and try to avoid people with little / no vouches <3
