MferJones

I've posted about recovering this account once before and got it back successfully. I unfortunately forgot the password once again as I barely use this site. However, i'm looking to come back to Sythe.

Account in question is MferJones: MferJones

Thanks in advance for your help!

EDIT 1: I believe i've figured out the password for the account, but now it's asking for a 2FA. I don't have that anymore (new phone).

For 2FA removals:

First off, if you saved it, enter your long 2FA backup code that you were prompted to keep when setting up 2FA where you would normally enter your short codes.

When requesting a 2FA removal, please note the administrative team needs proof of two or more of the following things:

• Post from a home IP
• Recovery phone number*
• Current email address
• Skype/Discord used in the past or present**
• If you have donated directly through PayPal;
  • Transaction date and amount
  • PayPal email

NOTES:
*Registering 2FA to your account does not automatically add your number as a recovery phone number, you would have needed to add this manually in your Account Settings.

**Third party account access (such as email and Skype/Discord) are not substantial verification methods - the whole point of registering 2FA to your account is to have EXTRA security past regular recovery methods.

Failure to provide aforementioned details when requesting 2FA removal may result in a delay.

If you cannot provide what is required, then you MUST prove without a reasonable doubt that you are the true owner of your account. If you are unable to do this, your 2FA will NOT be removed.

Hey MferJones (@mferjones2)

Thank you for the quick responses.

I've disabled 2fa on your account. Be sure to re-enable 2fa on your account and keep the long code somewhere safe in case you find yourself locked out again - you can use this code once as a 2fa code entry so that you can log in and manually disable it yourself.

Just a heads up, your account does not have a recovery phone number attached. You may add one here: https://www.sythe.org/account/contact-details
