Wasn't sure where to put this because nobody seems to want to address it.
Community Teams are at the forefront of the site and should be conducted as such to reflect the ideals of the site, seems that fell short here. You deny people looking to join a community team and be involved, yet don't DEMOTE the 10+ inactive people on the community teams to allow room for fresh bodies?
I was told I am not "involved in the community" as part of a 1-on-1 conversation with staff post-Mod Application and it was recommended I join a community team. Yet again bias is thrown into the mix on the vote into the community team as depicted below.
PR Application Denial:
- Reason 1 we are in search of people with community spirit, positivity, and joins in on community events. Whether this be events for CDT or PR, I’ve personally mentioned our event to you which you are quite negative about, and have decided to not participate/support in any way.
- Reason 2 the team all noticed your attitude towards PR in the last month or two, and it has not been positive. This sort of negativity hurts a team, and if you’re applying for a team, make sure you support them & help out even before applying.
- Reason 3 Shitposting, as you’ve mentioned yourself you have 100+ infractions, it wouldn’t look good if one of our community team members kept getting banned for infraction build up.
1) He has not stated a reason for denial was lack of participation in an event that is STILL ONGOING. The way he speaks he is only voicing his own bias. He additionally made accusations that CDT was leaking info about PR and the leadership and that being the reason I applied: Screenshot - 2afafd6a95b5f9bd75cf51b7c5bed113 - Gyazo
2) He is basing this off of the negative feedback I expressed to him in discord repeatedly in terms of lack of social media plays, community involvement, and engagement from the PR team itself. Now that Constructive Feedback is being used against me because they don't know how to funnel it into progress and results. Please see here, because we don't hold a personal relationship he is stating that is the reason for denial. Call me crazy, most people don't "Get along" with all of their co-workers or boss... but guess what you do the fucking job the right way anyhow. Just another clear admission of bias. 3) Where do I have 100+ infractions? This is another item based off of a take inspect element picture that was posted in the spam forum that stated I had 247 infractions. If time and care was taken into the PR team this would have been validated to see that it was a meme, just like 99% of the rest of the SF.
You are allowing two people who are fully clocked out of PR team to have the majority decision on the entire team. QBD is terribly inactive and BEAST resigned and will be gone within a week. They may have been handed a bag of shit from the previous PR leaders, but that bag of shit still stinks the same... it is being allowed to run into the ground.
