    Runescape's not working, but java's running
    First of all, use a better browser (Firefox.).

    Install that, and get the Java installer for that.

    And as stated previously, try re-installing Java. Or even try re-installing IE7 if you want to use IE and the problem is being persistent.

    I tried using firefox, netscape, and even a browser my friend made. No dice. I think I'm going to have to just install XP...

    The same thing happened to me...when you select a detail try using
    "unsigned applet, default java"
