Seller's Sythe profile link: Online
Original selling thread: 1833 TTL | ID 139739162 | PlayerAuctions
Proof of payment: (Sent in 2 BTC Transactions): Screenshot - Screenshot
Proof of contacting seller: Screenshot --> Initial first message beginning the conversation. (August 24, 2018)

Context:
Initially the conversation began when I came across his PlayerAuctions sale page for a TL 1833 RuneScape account. The conversation then moved on to Sythe private messaging in an effort to make the transaction direct through Bitcoin to avoid USD exchange rate (as Im Canadian) and the site fees.

Relevant Trade Pictures:

Conversation Pic 1: http://prntscr.com/lrsww3 --> Him confirming the account im purchasing, providing me stats for account (same thats posted on PA) and giving me his ToC for sale

Conversation Pic 2: http://prntscr.com/lrsx7h --> Confirms receiving BTC transaction 1/2

Conversation Pic 3: http://prntscr.com/lrsxga --> Asking to send transaction 2/2 due to insufficient funds

Conversation Pic 4: http://prntscr.com/lrsy3y --> Confirms receiving transaction 2/2 and provides login info to the account

Conversation Pic 5: http://prntscr.com/lrsyp4 --> Initially received incorrect login info but provides me with fixed typo

Conversation Pic 6: http://prntscr.com/lrsz0s --> Provides me password reset link, and when asked about recovery questions + information for the account he simply says there is none

Conversation Pic 7: http://prntscr.com/lrszcg --> Says there is nothing he can do if it gets recovered and the most he can do is refund me within "5 months"

Conversation Pic 8: http://prntscr.com/lrszkv --> Mentions his time frame commitment, and upon researching the username of the account (as its email extension was @pbot.org) I had found a banned account. (It is a conspiracy and not confirmed however has grounds for speculation). Scam report as well is here Scam report- Inhuman

Conversation Pic 9: http://prntscr.com/lrt0te

Conversation Pic 10: Screenshot --> Him just disregarding what Im showing him, and saying it could be untrue (it very well could be)

Coversation Pic 11: http://prntscr.com/lrt26n

Conversation Pic 12: http://prntscr.com/lrt94n --> Hes being a dick here saying that if I already feel unsafe with the account days after buying it I should just sell it myself and I bear the risk

Conversation Pic 13: http://prntscr.com/lrt9bi --> On Oct 19, 2018 (1 month and a half later) I get a message saying the account is locked for the first time (First Warning Sign) Link for proof is here: Imgur

Conversation Pic 14: http://prntscr.com/lrt9ob --> Tries to say if I didnt buy it on Sythe (which I did) dont message him on here.

Conversation Pic 15: http://prntscr.com/lrt9xr --> Ended up regaining access myself on RS website

Conversation Pic 16: (*Recent events*): http://prntscr.com/lrtaa6 --> On December 3rd and 4th, 2018 I received 4 emails asking to reset my RuneScape password that was not initiated by me. Upon asking him he say it is not him, and its the original owner.

Proof of RuneScape password change emails:
Email 1: http://prntscr.com/lrtaz1
Email 2: http://prntscr.com/lrtb5b
Email 3: http://prntscr.com/lrtbbm
Email 4: http://prntscr.com/lrtbot

Conversation 17: http://prntscr.com/lrtbvl --> Asking him to kindly reach out to the owner to figure out whats happening, letting him know that I am within my 5 months (strange enough this happening as the date is approaching)

Conversation Pic 19: http://prntscr.com/lrtc8x --> Immediately offers me 50% refund of initial purchase price ($130 USD) and then after notifying him of whats happening to the potential status of the account tells me "I don't have grounds for this" as it hasn't been fully recovered yet at that point,

Conversation Pic 20: http://prntscr.com/lrtcpl --> Keeps arguing he is not responsible until it is recovered and that my unease means nothing.

Conversation Pic 21: http://prntscr.com/lrtcw5 --> Says that this isnt fair to him as it doesn't follow his ToC, but what if these signs are clear indicators that it will eventually get recovered perhaps after Dec 24, 2018 when I wont be eligible for a refund? (It is now since been recovered making eligible however)

Conversation Pic 22: http://prntscr.com/lrtdd6 --> Finally after telling him I might decide to open a report, he offers me a refund via PayPal (which I don't have) after him wanting to get the account back. I ask him back for BTC (original payment method) and he says it is too hard for him to obtain.

Conversation Pic 23: http://prntscr.com/lrtdto --> Says that my complain is bullshit and almost makes it seem Im the one at fault here for bringing this inconveniencing issue to him.

Conversation Pic 24: http://prntscr.com/lrte1k --> Giving him my BTC address

Conversation Pic 25: http://prntscr.com/lrte7n --> Insists on me going first (I was uneasy going first and suggested we use an MM just incase he tried to short me on money or just simply take the account back and I loose everything)

Conversation Pic 26: http://prntscr.com/lrtegn

Conversation Pic 27: http://prntscr.com/lrtf1h --> Upon now logging in to the account to prepare to get details changed while we talk to the MM, I had found the password to be incorrect. Having my social network tied to my RuneScape account, I managed to still be able to login on the RS site through Facebook and tried to change the details but was unsuccessful. I was however able to see the partial new e-mail thats registered on the account now which can be seen here http://prntscr.com/lrtew0

Conversation Pic 28: http://prntscr.com/lrtfeg ---> Telling him the account is hacked and him just flat out not taking me seriously.

Conversation Pic 29: http://prntscr.com/lrtfm3 --> Hes arguing say it took me 3 days to get my refund when it was a lot of back and forth from his side.

Conversation Pic 30: http://prntscr.com/lrtfvx --> Here hes saying "Fuck you" and taking this whole situation entertaining for him.

Conversation Pic 31: http://prntscr.com/lrtg5i

Conversation Pic 32: http://prntscr.com/lrtg9l

Conversation Pic 33: http://prntscr.com/lrtgdv --> All of a sudden this guy pulls something out of his ass. I dont know where this came from, this dude out of the blue just started saying hes gonna make a scam report out of me! Lol

Conversation Pic 34: http://prntscr.com/lrtglz --> Finally he says he will refund me after 3 days the full amount of $260 USD after he first attempts recovering it --> Keep in mind if he is successful in his attempt I am not interested any further in the account due to the high potential risk of sustainability.

Conversation Pic 35 (*LASTLY*): http://prntscr.com/lrth0l --> He says that I am good and my claim is valid and is asking for 3 days time to make a recovery or else he will refund me.

I apologize for a lot of screenshots, but knowing the nature of this market haven playing this game for years some people end up trying to really swindle you. I have had many bad experiences, so I feel I have to really nail it to the head to not have any cause for speculation or loopholes with everything being clearly placed. After all I have paid $450 CAD after fees for the account, and have also spent money on items in game with gold which I am at this point incurring as a sunk cost.

I am keeping this report open to have administrator enforcement on the deal to have a refund within 3 days, also given the nature of the sellers unpredictability and the lack of duty of care that should be owed within our transactions relationship.

Thanks

Not sure how PA rules apply to sythe rules, however i would like to throw in this is 100% against their TOS giving off-site contact information in general, which results in fines, and doing the deals off site goes a bit further in the rule breaking.

Generally fines for this are 150$+, as the accounts and transactions cannot go through the investigation system through the PA platform.

He told me to search up his username on PA messaging portal to do the deal here on Sythe. After the conversation moved to Sythe, we began and conducted the entire transaction on this platform. Im not sure about his obligations to PA as a seller or what the repercussions are, but thats a separate matter on its own.

Ah interesting. True, haven't done that since, I think got a warning for it

I feel like this is redundant. From reading this he just found his sythe profile and messaged through here to avoid fees - which PA have some shitty fees.

Seems to me “online” is just taking the piss at this point - he had a report on him about reselling accounts and them getting recovered even on PA and with PA policy on getting your money back I guarantee that he won a few of those cases and the buyer ended up screwed with a money lose and no account.
What has PA rules got to do with this issue?
and you both don't add to this case, all pure opinion.

If a user breaks TOS of OSbot, or gets off-site twc'd/dnt'd the rules apply here, figuring as PA is a much larger platform, would think their TOS apply here, so it fully applies and adds to the case; which is why it was used as input.

Huh?... Yeah so what? Sythe going fine me $300 as well?
This has nothing to do with Sythe but with Playerauctions. They have already warned me after this case ( this occured 5 months ago ) not that this matters.

nothing to do with this case either? I think this case has to do with a relation to a refund?
You are correct, and whats between you and PA is completely separate.

This case is about a refund, however I did want to add that piece to confirm how we initially got into contact before coming to Sythe.

Thanks

I'm more interested in whether the account was recovered or not. The timeline & your actions are uncanny.

Whats more uncanny than anything in this situation is that 2 weeks away from the deadline of your so called ToC of 5 months, the account is all of a sudden getting password request changes, and it eventually being recovered.

Whats even more strange is how defensive you tried to become by turning the situation on me, and not taking any responsibility to do anything as a seller only after I had to tell you I was going to make a scam report.

Want to keep still talking about uncanny? When I logged in through social media on the RS site and took a screenshot of the new email thats tied to it (which I posted above), as soon as I told you I logged in with Facebook, my social media association was cut off.

Stop bullshitting buddy.

Nothing turned on you in reality. I just doing my 72 hours to see what the eye can see and then proceed to refund you if nothing can be done for you. Everything in between is all irrelevant.
My apologies though, this should never have happened and I only ever did a trade like this on Sythe a few times all back around the date we traded. The outlining of it all isn't exactly full proof for anybody.

Adding a DNT as a precaution until this has been resolved.

@Online Would you be able to provide the TOS that you both agreed to here?

I'm guessing it's flawed so even if I get it back ripperino

I the seller of the account is not liable for any issues that occur after the sale is complete which could include but not limited to lost password / locked account / banned account with the exception of my 5 month guarantee which in that period if you have any issues accessing the account and I am unable to recover it for you, you receive a 100% refund of ($260 USD)
I do not support any returns.

@Online - Can you provide where these terms were agreed to? I assume the delay here is for your pending recovery attempt, so please keep me updated.
