You decide to go play around with your lighter. You start to burn things. Finally you get bored and decide to do something fun with it. You want to make the flames of the lighter higher so you spray it was a highly flammable liquid and try to light it. You call over your friends. CHECK THIS OUT! It won't ignite though.

Why not?

Usually a riddle, doesn't involve straight forward thinking, rather the answer to most riddles are not the obvious....So saying the flint in the lighter is wet so it won't spark is just common sense/science.
