30 minute challenge

What if booking flights was a cool, futuristic, and a fun interactive experience? I gave myself a 30 minute challenge to come up with a quick interface. Select a location from where to where you want to fly and confirm your booking. This idea would definitely be animated.

If aviation companies would come up with some sort of interesting interactive experience, surely they would be able to boost their sales quite significantly and make more profits.

I wouldn't particularly say this concept is anything final, but for 30 minutes I didn't think it was too bad.

Regarding your "surely they would be able to boost their sales quite significantly and make more profits" statement I don't really agree with. If someone wants to travel and book a flight, they will do so either way.

I don't think you're thinking broad enough here. I showed this piece of work to people i know personally, they said they would book flights with "x" company if they had this interactive experience compared to others that don't.

That clearly tells you it does have potential to increase sales.

 

I just don't see why that would matter when needing to fly to another country. If you need to go, then you will simply go. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it looks bad... but at the end of the day you aren't going to pay more for a flight compared to somewhere else based on the fact that they have an interactive booking system. You will want to get the best deal you can get no matter how interactive it is, that would just be a bonus to the experience while booking.

 

I understand where you are coming from. A legitmate example to prove my point would be to provide 2 different websites for booking flights. Both have same prices, however one provides a more interactive and a personal experience, and the other doesn't.

Majority of users are more likely to book a flight with the one that provides an interactive experience.

 

If the prices are the same and it'a a website similar to skyscanner then yeah completely! A better interface is always the way to go. Sorry if I misunderstood.
