Bus appears to have come up with a fabulous idea to attract more customers to his 'empire', by introducing a totally original 'price beater' feature on his website.

I was quite impressed and wanted to check out this fantastic price comparison tool until shock horror, it's plain bullshit.

1) the banner emphasises strongly that RSGoldFund beat 'every' price. - Not true.

Although the price may be dropped if asked about this, most customers may not inquire.

In my opinion this shouldn't be allowed, especially in a banner position, as it is not transparent business practice. It is deceptive and manipulative branding, and ultimately selective of who they openly compete with. At the very least the tool needs updating and configuring to match the claims the business owner is making, or the banner needs to be changed.

 

Bogla gold did the exact same thing, we share identical beaters - Infact he originally took the idea off my original concept on comparegamegold.com which had a price beater.

Also this is not a scam report so I don't care.

Put it in a reported post and I'll have a discussion with @video about it.

Bogla may have done this, and that, and the next thing. But you're not Bogla, or remotely similar, and any business practice is your responsibility regardless of whether others do it.

You idiot, it says that message about not beating Arcusgold because we are already cheaper than them - That's one of the default messages.

The only time we don't beat a site is if there's 1) A bug with the beater which returns the string "This information is not in our database"

I have already spoken to Video about situations like this and he modified the rule to where only legitimate customers can file a report.

So not only is this in the wrong place - It's invalid ontop of it.

 

Okay well clearly you are bothered, and I will accept the infraction if its that major of a mistake. I haven't been active since late december, and not active daily since september, so I was actually unaware of this.

 

Sigh I apologize - Its just been a frustrating week with 2 reports in RAS that shouldn't of been here in the first place. Neither are scam related and I am being put under additional pressure for no reason.

 

I understand. This is a busy time of year. This is not a witch hunt. In my OP I even suggest just being more transparent in phrases within the banner, and/or tweaking the tool.

 

For the record - None of my claims are actually incorrect.

You see - I spent some 6 hours delving into gold sites back Late Dec/Early January to determine how many total gold sites there are.

You'd of known every active gold site actually is in the beater - The only time as I said a site may not work is if it returns the string "This site is not in our database" this could be caused by 1)An error scrapping the site, 2) The site recently underwent changes which is preventing the scrapper from running properly, 3) our host is having an internal issue which may be causing the information to be transmitted incorrectly, 4) Other MISC issues.

I personally went through and confirmed what gold sites remain active however and that holds true to current day - So yes actually we do beat every gold sites prices - The only time it doesn't is if threres a technical error which is beyond my control.

Furthermore it says "competitor" which I specifically chose to avoid these reports - I can define who I consider "competition" however I wish to, I might not consider rsmalls competition because their Chinese but I might consider arcusgold to be.

As I said, Video and I have spent a long time trying to make it so these reports never occur on me again, I've been assured that these types of reports which bitch about 1 minor eventuality that I was unable to predict will no longer be accepted as valid because its ridiculous frankly.

 

Do this please as this isn't the place for false advertising. Closing this as this isn't a scam report.
