So at the moment im looking to buy a new computer, however i dont know what to buy.

Price isnt really an issue..i'll mainly be using it for downloading music, online gaming and PS etcetc

any suggestions on what i should get?

buy your own parts cheap (refurbrished work well) and than just built it on your own. you can make a SUPER good compute for a low price as $1.2k or so.
for $700 i made myself 3.33ghz processor, 1Gb ram, 320Gb hard, ATI Radeon X1650 512mb and 17inch monitor.

i would go for an alienware

thanks everyone.

i just fell in love with the falcons
theyre a little to dear though.

as i said i dont really have much experience with the techincal side of computers so i dont now how i would go buliding one :( i might give it a shot though

My dad has a falcon Nw computer and it's lasted forever, no problems. I recommend you get it.

w00t nice. how much did it cost him? (if you dont mind me asking)
It'll be worth getting one if it lasts that long.

It cost him $5000. You can get falcons cheaper, or $15,000 more. He's had it for 3 years. Don't get a mac for gaming, you'll be disappointed.

get parts form difrent shops and get allt he parts letest and i recomend dont get vista as ti run lot of services and starting program take liek 5 minutes to load up lol

my 2002 pc take no time when u loging it jsut load up!

wow, i think my best bet is to save up for one of those.
thanks for the help

If not ill take everyone elses advice and attempt to build one

Don't get an Alienware or a Falcon, there's no point paying thousands of dollars extra for a nice looking case and some customer support you can get at any computer store.

Follow an online guide and build your own. Get the parts from newegg.com. :)

why not get Macs for gaming? ;)
You can easily get World of Warcraft, Quake 3, and many other games for the Mac. Plus there are a few Windows Emulators that run programs just like Windows itself with little or no bugs.

Meh, buy a smallish computer and get linux. Thats my vote ;)

Even though I have an AMD Athlon X2 4200+ 2.21 Ghz Dual core (2CPU's), nVidia GeForce 7600 GT, 320GB hard drive, 5.1 surround speakers, 19in benq moniter with crisp picture, Logitech G3 Gaming mouse, 1GB RAM ... need I say more? Runs most games as smooth as if they were as old as Quake 3. I don't need to update it for another few years at least. Screw all your expensive computers. All you need is something small anyway. Mine costed $1600 and I couldn't be happier without it.

go to alienware and find their sickest PC, then ask them to make a sicker one.
simple as that
then go to your ISP and tell them you want the most hardcore connection you can get, no matter how stonking your PC if your line isn't fat then you might as well have a doritto as a CPU
