What Hitler did to the Jews is no worse, and even better I argue, than the extermination of Armenian-Christians in turkey (was the Ottoman Empire before the "Toung Turks" crated the republic of turkey)(yes, TYT from YouTube takes there name form these people...), Fidel's castors extermination of his own people (mostly young men and women), or Stalins "indirect" (but obviously direct) killings of about 7 million of his own people from 1932-1933, which marks the largest concentration of murders/year in the 20th century, second being the next genocide...


the Rwandan genocide that took place from April-July, only a few short months, saw the murder of about 1,000,000 Christan Rwandans (800,000 but we will round up since many are still missing to this day). This was only 2 months and there were no camps... Peoples Neighbors literally went and murdered there peers because the government and radio host told them too..

Was what Stalin did genocide though? By definition, I don't think so?

No doubt he was also a monster though, but not a genocidal maniac. Just a murderous one.

Well yes it was, at least in my opinion, but I see why using the term "genocide" isn't the exact deffinition of what Stalin did. Stalin Knew what he was doing, and Knew these farmers would die. He knew it. He even thought of it as a "Sacrifise".

and exterminated Jews for ethic purity of his country

Stalin murdered and let MORE people die in LESS amount of time, not for ethnic purity, but rather to industrialize his civilization. They were forced to do this.

But.....
Remember, most of these people who died were poor farmers, and made a specific group of people work to death. Stalin knew this and is why he didn't send the rich or powerful to die. I think "ethnicity", when it comes to genocide can refer to the different classes in a society, which may sound weird, but Stalin let the POOR die, so the Middle to upper class can reap in the spoils.


I see where you are coming from though, since the deffinition usually refers to the mass murder of a specific ethnic group, nor did those 7 million die specifically from them being murdered, but I still label what Stalin did as a "genocide" since he directly preformed an action that led to the death of a large group of specific people in the act to create a better Soviet Union. Hitler murdered a specific group of people over a large period of time in order to create a "better Germany".

But I'll just agree with you that yes, it's technically not a genocide, but what else should we call it? Im genuinely curious what you would call the deaths of those 7 million?

Stalin just murdered poor people, that's 'classism'? I don't think there is exactly a term for that. It's certainly not genocide, unless you are to class upper/middle/working class people as individual ethnic groups which isn't gonna happen.

As for what I'd call it, just mass murder works fine.
