I've seen this before. It's quite similar to the AHK situation on 07, where JMods would say something, then contradict it later. The most recent thing I've seen is a twitter post saying that it IS allowed. I'll see if I can dig it up - it is a bit confusing though I will admit.

If anyone has been banned for name selling I'd like to think I'd have at least seen some evidence of it.
