I have every reason to group all religious people. Trust me, I've met thousands of religious people. All of them believed in something completely irrational and illogical, with no way to back themselves up. Generally, they only believe because they, as previous stated, can't grasp the concept of nothingness.Sure is a shame that YOU are so narrow-minded that you group all religious people together and slap them in the face. How about you give a REASON behind why you think this way? Or is that demanding too much of you?
Personally, I feel that once you die, that's it. The end of the line, etc. Your mind goes to nothingness, and that's how it remains. Forever.

i believe in an eye for an eye..
Shredderbeam, anyone with the simplest of a mind would have to disagree with you. How would your mind just go to what you call "nothingness"? And somehow you believe in that.
The Supreme Intelligence said:Now, on to the point of this discussion. I believe that there is a life after death. But it would be wrong to describe it as a "life" after death. The word life would have to mean that it is not everlasting. So by using the word life in a statement such as "life after death" would be incorrect. Because this "life" after death is never going to end once it starts. And by being a life, it must end. So to start, let's correct ourselves by fixing our terms. Let's call it immortality. I believe that you can earn yourself in Hell or in Heaven depending on what you have done in your time that you have served on Earth. In Heaven, you have all of your wishes and needs granted. In Hell, you are tortured for all of your wrongdoings and bad deeds- to say the least. I grasped my knowledge from my religion and logical reasoning.

Those near death experiences are just things made up by your brain. Its like dreaming. You won't know till you die, no one will know, till they in fact die.
There are alot of amazing near death experiences. But in fact, i couldn't care less, I'm not afraid of being mortal.

When your dead for 9 minutes (like this one chick on the news who had a nde), i'm pretty sure your brain isn't making anything up.
