[Resolved]

Bit annoyed to have to make this thread, Dunworry was extremely unwilling to help resolve this as all he seemed to care about was how he could now go and purchase himself a nice Big Mac.

Explanation of the trade: He was the MM of the trade, it was my 9m 07 for a name transfer between me and another user. Was not my snipe responsibility.

Dispute: Okay, so I was buying a name for 9m 07, Dunworry was the middleman. About a minute into the group chat, Dunworry says that there is a 5m fee. I immediately tell the person I was buying a name from to go find another mm, as I did not want to pay a fee. However, the seller states that the 5m 07 fee will be deducted from the 9m 07 he recieves, so he will only recieve 4m 07.Now, while the other guy in transferring the name, the name is sniped. After a bit of talking, I go to collect my refund from Dunworry, as it was not my snipe responsibility. However, Dunworry only refunds me the 4m 07 gp, instead of the 9m 07, saying that I have to now pay the fee? LOL WHAT? I just want whoever is going over this report to know that: I immediately told the seller to go find another middleman, as I was not willing to pay a 5m 07 fee. He says that its fine, and I quote "I will worry about it, DW." I deserve my 5m back, I did not go into this trade wanting any risk on my part.

I would most definitely not of used Dunworry if I knew that I would somehow have to pay the 5m fee. There are countless MM's who do these trades for 100% free.

@Etha was the one selling me the name, and who took "responsibility" for the snipe/fee.

 

@Dunworry did his job to mm the trade? You both accepted to use him as a MM, however @Etha didnt hold up to his end.

That should be between him and Dunworry, as it was his fee. Dunworry took the fee from MY 07..

Also would've been nice to have seen some input from Dunworry whilst discussing, but I guess he had his 5m so he was happy lol.

 

In trades where the name is sniped and the seller agrees to accept both responsibility and the MM fee, it seems unfair for him to lose the name, not get any money, and have to pay an additional fee on top of trades. I've done trades this way for some time now. I encouraged them to discuss and agree on something, which they could not. Let me know what's decided.

@EikNauxi claiming this is a scamquit is ridiculous

Once again, I the only reason i used you and not some other MM was because he was paying the fee.

There are SEVERAL MM's who would do this for free.

This is so stupid, he had snipe responsibility, he had the fee, why wouldn't I get my 5m back lol.

 

That's now invalid as the trade had proceeded you could have backed out 100% at anytime. However, the trade had failed. The MM still gets his cut. If @Etha doesnt give you 2.5m he will be banned.

 

Why would I back out? I asked if it was my fee, nope, he said it was his.

Now the fee gets randomly put on me? Why? - I assume you are going to say because the name was sniped, however that was not my fault or my responsibility either.

 

I think Dunworry should refund you the full 9m 07 AND the seller owes Dunworry the 5m, not you.

The trade was a name for 9m 07. A successful trade would mean that the seller receives the 9m and you receive the name. It would also mean that, from the 9m the seller receives, they would pay Dunworry 5m (that payment could be a deduction of 5m, and only giving the seller 4m). This is the agreement between you and the seller; it does not bind Dunworry, so ultimately we need to look at what agreement was made between you and Dunworry. Note: this screenshot shows that the seller would 'deal w it'.

Interestingly, you both agreed to Dunworry's TOS which provides that fees are non-refundable, and are to be paid upfront. They weren't paid upfront though, so the TOS aren't really helpful, other than demonstrating that one, or both of you owe Dunworry 5m. This and this show that Dunworry knew that the seller would deal with it, and that Dunworry's payment would be deducted from what the seller receives. Since the seller received nothing (as the name was sniped), logically there is nothing to deduct, and so based on what you guys have said and agreed to, Dunworry needs to pursue the seller and not EikNauxi.

That's what I feel should happen based on what was discussed in the Skype conversations. If Dunworry wanted to retain the 5m from the 9m even if the trade failed, he should have been more clear about that IMO; Dunworry's silence constitutes assent to the agreement between the buyer and seller in this instance.

@Dunworry I've removed the references to scamming etc, since this is just a misunderstanding as to who owed what.

 

@malakadang that's fine. I'll refund the 5M; however, I'd like to lift any debt from @Etha since it seems unfair for him to have to pay additional money on top of losing his name and not getting any money for it.

If you're willing to forgive the debt as between you and Etha, then that is fine.

Let me know when the refund is completed and we'll end the dispute there.
