Lol do u know how many children are placed in the adoption system? And how many of those actually get adopted? EVerything is not cut and dry...[/quoite]
The decision of whether or not to terminate a pregnancy through abortion will hardly rest upon the child's quality of life.

BTW: heres a quote i read online which i think is completely apt:
Originally from: Delberta Fluharty, of Joplin, Missouri ( and Google...lol)
Such idle speculation about who the baby might grow up to be doesn't really benefit us. It could be the next Joseph Stalin, or the next great religious leader. Who knows?

No not exactly equal to an adult human life, but what I mean is, that the fertilized cell if untouched would eventually after a few months become an human being! The fertilized cell is just the earliest step in the human life, killing it when most vourable is just wrong, which is what they are doing when aborting.
And why isn't it exactly equal to a human life? What specific characteristics about a fertilized cell seperate it from an adult human being, if it is to grow up and become one?

You dont need to be a woman to know anything about this. What is it that you think hapends when a woman gets raped then? Does it take place in the afternoon in a crowded street with many people, or perhaps in a small road while shes all by her self ? The womans are not to blame for being raped, but they are making it possible for the sick morons to do what they do.
A woman these days should never walk alone in a less crowded street, doing so is gambling, and once you get raped the raper is not the only one to blame but your own stupidity.
I dont see why you need to be a woman to know this!
First, not all rapes occur in situations when the woman is stupid. Even if they did, are you suggesting that we adopt a policy of "It's your own damn fault, go cry about it"? Quite heartless, if you ask me.
Also, you DO need to be a woman to fully understand the complex emotions that pregnancy brings forth. You speak from the position of a man, but if you could experience but a fraction of the pain they endure, your words would be silenced in awe.

No but they have the right to prevent murder during the most vourable time of human life.
It's hardly murder. It's a cell, or a group of cells! You yourself admitted that it wasn't exactly equal to a human life! The only special thing about it is that it has the potential to become a human life.
Krypton6 said:
Yes you can, since being free has nothing to do with murder.
What your saying is the same as saying that, murder being a crime is a braking of freedom.
Incorrect. I'm saying that the inability of a woman to choose what she does with her own body is the breaking of freedom.

But ofcourse it should not be considered the same as an adult human life, but when will you ever have to chose between any of those, its not like the womans life is ruined just because this child is born!
What about cases where the woman's life is threatened due to complications of pregnancy, and an abortion is the only way to save her life?

Why do you need to abort anyways ?? It is not needed or relevant in anyway!!! Noones life is ruined by that child being born! If you dont like how the baby looks or what ever, you can simply hand it over to the hospital and thats it!
You can't always do that.
In any case, why a woman would need to abort is irrelevant. The right of privacy was handed to the people of the United States in the Supreme Court case of Roe vs. Wade. This means that it is a universal right of ALL people to be entitled to the privacy of their own bodies, regardless of whatever a tyrannical government may have to say!
