-Encouraging Others to Break a Rule: Asking for something that may lead to another user getting into trouble, or framing a user... etc.

You can work on it, but eh.

I personally think it should be equal to the person who broke the rules' punishment.

I.e. Asking for Warez, and another user being banned for giving warez. Both people should be banned.

- Warez: posting direct downloads to Warez, links of websites related to Warez - includes: posting full length motion pictures (movies) regardless of whether or not they are in theaters or on dvd, completed seasons of a television show (1-2 episodes due to comical reasons are permitted), shareware programs, cracked shareware programs, cracks/serials for shareware programs, etc...


I did not break any part of that rule. There was NO direct download, and NO link to the website.
 
If it doesn't have to do with ban evading/scamming then whatever happens on MSN is fine, in my opinion. As far as warez, pass crackers, etc. If someone PM's me saying, "0mg i pai u 50m fi u mak mi pass cracker scrip" then I would probably have them banned.

That's just my opinion, I'm not sure what the actual rules are for those sorts of things.

Just because you find a couple of people that ask about warez does not mean they should be banned. Some might not know the rules and most of the time the responses will be that they are not allowed here at sythe.


You didn't post a link like I said before you gave him options to not only one but thousands of possible hits for warez in which any would probably work. Which is worse than one link.

And they do deserve to be banned because that's what this new rule will enforce. People will not be allowed to encourage others to break a rule. It will more than likely be a warning for a first offence, but seriously, when you sign up you agree to the rules and regulations. Duh.

I think framing users should DEFIANTLY be a banable offense.

You are stating that I broke a rule, which is what mods do. Just because I can find ways out of them, doesn't mean I can't find ways to get others in them.

And it's not a matter of whether I agree or not, it's a matter of right and wrong. I was not infracted for it, because it was not wrong. It was edited because he felt it was wrong, and TBH, it wasn't worth arguing over.
