So yeah, almost 250M accounts.

I wonder.

1) how many of those are bot accounts?
2) how many are levels 3s? (not used, hoarded.)
3) how many could be active?)
and lastly 4)
How many could be level 70-136(old CB system) maxed and just LOST, in the RS account graveyard?
how many female characters with nice outfits and mains that people have quit and just left to rot and will NEVER play again, i mean like high level - max accounts that won't ever be logged on again? and
also how many of those are RSC accounts. (2001-2004 accounts.)

There's no way for us to even really take a mildly accurate guess about any of these questions. Keeping track of most of this would be a waste of time imo. The only thing that's really important to Jagex is how many active people there are.

I remember when there was a huge event regarding the creation of 200m account. Oddly enough, I was actually just thinking about this the other day and was wondering what the amount was at now; now I know.

Something I always wondered when I first got back into RS about 4 or so years ago was, how many inactive (yet still accessible) accounts have RS3 partyhats? How many people sold partyhats for dirt cheap? How many partyhats were lost/dropped? How many partyhats are still in existance (even if on banned/locked accounts)? That's what I personally wonder.

The real question is, what will the account marker be at when RuneScape officially dies?

 

This is the like of what I've been wondering, how many nice looking level 90+ female characters are out there, banned/locked/forgotten/RIP and with bunny ears. I remember people having 5+ nice female bunny accs back in 2011, and that "Kelly" bunny acc hoarder of doom.

I always wondered if someone could hack jagex and access all these old accounts. Create a bot to remove anything valuable. It would probably destroy the market forever. Hell we still feel the effects of the max cash dupe to this day. Going back even further would be bringing up the Purple Phat Dupe. Those havent recovered either considering they were the rarest creation percentage.

That wouldn't be possible, he isn't talking about hacking their CP, but rather their database with all stored user/passwords.

 

I remember a statistic of 20% of players were botting at time, although that was a couple years back. I imagine a ton of those accounts are bot accounts.

That's the first time I've heard of it, but it's possible. How would they implement this though?

Every time a rare leaves the game a new one is placed on the GE and the highest offer gets it. If it's max cash then it's the oldest offer.

 

Yeah thought so.

No link to the video anymore but I remember it being the case. A lot of people leave max cash offers in for blue phats & crackers for that reason.

 

If someone hacked jagex and did this, that would be incredibly insane lol

 

This doesn't seem to be the case from what I've noticed (at least in the last year)
