Additional Section for DNT

Hi Guys,

I'm not a regular Sythe user as i'm currently in the DNT section. But I had stumbled across a link I had wanted to post in the "Cryptocurrency section" but was not able to view it without going onto a private incognito browsing tab. I'm curious if this section is purposely blacklisted from non-market users on purpose or not. But it would be lovely for to have the ability to post Cryptocurrency, Finance, & Gambling Discussion

Was hoping to post this link which would really be useful to some of the long term coinbase users;

Why should they make a new section for you or anyone else with DNT? You got that rank for conflicting with Sythe.org rules. Can't follow the rules no sympathy.

I completely see where you're coming from on this. But some of the users that are currently Stuck in DNT aren't still scamming daily and being scumbags. Some just like to tend to their own business and would actually like to get out of DNT. But Regardless! I really don't see any harm in allowing users to view discussions on cryptocurrency which is all that some of use which might be a nice addition to keep browsing Sythe.org and post in it versus just browsing in the Incognito mode.

 

I agree DNT users should still have access to Non-Market related sub-forums. But I don't agree with your op of making a new section. Am I understanding that right? Or are you just wanting some of the forum restrictions lifted for DNT users?

 

Alright so. I support DNT being able to post in any non-market related forums. DNT was supposed to be a way for members to get back into the community and I feel like it has just become the shitposter SF rank. Just my $.02

One of the purposes of DNT is to restrict access to much of the site (not just the market) to incentivize people to pay back their victims.

No support - you have the rank for a reason.

 

The DNT stands for "Do not trade". If it's not market/trading related then I don't see why it's an issue.

 

If it's not for the market, I don't see why not. Support.

 

If a DNT member really wanted to trade, he or she would do it on another account. Letting them access a dead section that just happens to deal with cryptocurrency would not make any difference other than revitalizing the section.

 

Meh, I'm neutral on this. As Farcast mentioned, the whole reasoning behind the rank is to restrict a chunk of the site to have DNT contribute to the other areas and to prove themselves that they'll be able to abide by the rules.

Then again, it really has no harm allowing them to contribute to a section that has minimal activity.

 

This is the only non-market forum that we cannot view, everything else is viewable by DNT users.

 

Since it's a discussion sub-forum of Off-Topic, I'm not sure why permission was revoked.

I can see how it could have been done on accident or due to uncertainty, but I've lifted the restriction.
