I embrace it, invoke it, long for it. The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. Cowards die many times before their deaths. The valiant never taste of death but once. It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.

I don't fear it but it is a bummer knowing my death will probably bring emotional pain to others.

I accept it and fear it. I fear it because I don't want to die too young. I want to have a wife and kids. I accept it because we are all going to die at some point. I just pray and hope I'm not dead before that.

 

I understand that death is apart of life and all, but I am afraid to die right now. Of course. You are lying if you said you arent. But once I live my life to the extent that I want I think ill be at peace with it.

 

It's going to happen some day to us. I just hope it happens peacefully not by a murderer or drowning

 

Drowning is supposed to be very peaceful once you've actually got water in your lungs, but I'd imagine it's pure panic releasing you can't escape

Touchy topic... I fear of leaving my loved ones in this world.

 

I'm terrified of dying. I don't believe in any sort of afterlife/reincarnation, so the thought that this is it, this is the only chance I get, scares the shit out of me.

There is a couple of fears that are "hard wired" into our brains.

A fear of heights in general is logical, it stops us from naturally walking off of cliffs and falling to our deaths.

I believe the fear of death is due to the fact that it consistents of change and the unknown.
