2277 main, with low rep

I have a maxed 2277 main which I am original owner and creator and I created a separate email for the account.
+ 5 rune drag accs, mm2, ds2, bgloves.

It seems like the market is around $1-2k, but most people I see selling have a lot more rep than I do. Ultimately, I'm wondering, Is there any shot I can sell my account since I could offer the original creation email or am I better selling off to a larger buyer? I've already gotten a quote but it was around $350 USD for my max main.

Wait until Jagex accounts come out and don't merge it to a Jagex account. Then you can offer the buyer 100% safety as if they merge it to a Jagex account themselves you won't be able to recover. This will change the landscape of account selling so wait until then.

I wouldn't necessarily think the value will go down, but 2376 accounts will be sold at a large premium. The new skill also will not be slow because it wont pass a poll that way.

Also Jagex accounts (release eta mid 2023) will release months and possibly over half a year before a new skill (best case end of 2023 realisitcally well into 2024 knowing Jagex dev cycles) so you should have plenty of time to sell in that window.

 

How do you foresee the account market changing? The recovery system at present fundamentally devalues accounts because there's always a chance it gets recovered by the original owner, even if they're "trusted" there's been so many high profile users scamming on sythe.

Once Jagex accounts kicks in, I wonder if you will see less maxed acc sales unless the price for them rises a bit. Like I said above, I think a lot of people sell their account with the mentality of making a quick money and then recovering it months or years down the road when they want to play again. Take away the option of recovery and suddenly people will want more to part with in my opinion or just outright refuse to sell something they've put thousands of hours into.

 

1. Price up for unmerged Jagex accounts will go up as they are safe to buy. If you use a MM and gain control and merge before payment is disbursed you cannot get scammed.
2. Price down for merged Jagex accounts as unsafe and can be reclaimed by owner like current.
3. If the market adopts unmerged accounts as the new standard (which it should) and rejects any Jagex account sellers as potential future scammers like you outlined there will be less accounts on the market.
