DNT

Uhhhhh... what? Lol. You think because we have some rank, permissions and private discussions we don't care whether scam victims get their money back?

I think he values someone who can make an argument with valid defense/reasoning over someone's position on his site.

In your case, maybe. For those who want to use the market again and run a business as an outlet on the other hand...

Yet again, staff are courts, not police. We won't force them to seek restitution, but require it as pardon of the pardon process.

In addition, you act as if all the people granted DNT status have been active since the day it was granted and/or have the means in order to repay their victim(s). As stated earlier on, what would your situation look like if you had someone to pay $800 back to? What would your strategy be? How long would it take you to repay? What would your plan be?

Put yourself in their shoes and think about the logical process there. There's so many other things to consider too.
  • "Do I even need to use Sythe anymore?"
  • "What can I use the market for?"
  • "How can I afford to refund my victim(s)?"
  • "Will my pardon be accepted for DNT removal?"
  • etc...
It's like you don't even care to consider anything at all, but chalk everything up in simple terms as if everything is clear cut, simple, and straightforward. Well it's not... Get used to it.

Not a question for me to answer. Ask Richard.
I think because you're more directly associated with Richard you have a tendency to copycat his beliefs, yes. That being said, Richard once stated he was worried about DNT users not wanting to pay anything back, but in the meantime i've not seen anything else suggesting he gives two shits

Clearly he doesn't value much if it's opposing his opinion as hinted by the recent departures, or are you saying that they didn't have legitimate reasoning or grievances? Pretending that Richard would give 2 shits about anyone else's opinion unless it's a staff member on an issue he's divided on or someone just feeding his ego is unrealistic.

Also not sure what about most of them having been banned for years and never paying a cent back means they're going to want to pay anything back now that they've been given DNT? Does the DNT rank have magical capabilities of making the market more appealing that i'm unaware of? Anyone who was banned and later wanted market access either paid shit back and pardoned already or is vading on another account right now anyways, clearly none of them want to get back to the market very badly because none of them are attempting repayment.

While not all DNT users have been active or even noticed they're unbanned, clearly i'm not referring to them as they're not just shitposting around the community with no intention of paying anyone back are they? You're forgetting most of them don't owe anywhere near $800, some of them are quite meager debts that have been there for years on end and they've never had any intention of paying it back then either? Even in the case of a massive debt, it's not hard to even let the debtors or staff know that they can't pay everything or even anything back for the time being but making it known that they're at least working towards it?

If anyone answers 'no' to a need to use Sythe then reban them, pretty simple. If anyone has no desire to use the market and is using that as a crutch to gain a free ride back to the website with no repercussions then reban them, pretty simple. As previously mentioned 'how can I afford to repay them' isn't even a factor in many of the petty debts, and in the case of larger debts it's not hard to work something out even if it's over time. "Will my pardon be accepted" is also a non issue. Very few users applying for a pardon that have actually paid shit back get denied and when they do, there's usually additional reasoning stemming beyond outstanding debts, or they just may be considered a threat to the website/community, in which case we wouldn't want them back anyways right? Surprisingly users that actually make an effort to righting their wrongs have a higher success rate in the pardon system than users who make no such effort. Not that the pardon system will be of any concern soon anyways from what i've heard.

Some good points here but I still think you're fundamentally wrong.

This is funny because the staff that left did so because they felt they didn't have a voice and Richard didn't care about their opinion! Haha! You've said that Sythe doesn't listen to staff in other posts and then you post this, man, you're a hoot and a half.

No community can survive when the majority of its users get drama banned, unfortunately that's a result of choosing mods for an online forum. I have no doubt that some well known current users and perhaps even mods are vaders.

How so? I requested it to prove a point. It isnt like I scammed or broke the tos.
I mean if you're purposely getting it to try and get people to trade with you.. then yeh it'd be the opposite of what DNT means and is trying to accomplish.(obviously) Therefore ending in a ban because that would break the rules behind it ;l I don't think any staff is gonna give it to you for that reason anyways haha
