It's just something that allows you to login to other sites and associate them with your Sythe acc - essentially it is access to your Sythe account so be careful bb.

 

I didn't understand that when I saw it; but what happens if other sites have database leaks etc.. ?

 

Authentication via the token -should- be limited, and it should only give limited access. I'm not sure what Richard's system is set up to do, other than authenticate a user and send the user's "simplename" and maybe their rank (mod, user).

It offers proof that you are the Sythe user you say you are. Like we could make a discord bot that you PM a token and uses it to prove you are the person you say you are and then give you the access you deserve. I was going to do this but I got busy with stats shit.
