Darkest Dream TwC Dispute #2

Link to/reason for TWC:

Owed a user $30 for just over a week when I was travelling. Argued with Video that it was really more of a tip and I didn't "owe" him anything.

Communicated badly with a user who ordered an essay, he ended up doing it himself. Paid him back promptly.

Since I'm not really a gold seller anymore getting vouches is more difficult, but I do have some to show. I've been keeping my MM thread bumped and providing free service to users without any problems. Most of the trades are for more than the TwC was originally applied for. A mod was even kind enough to go first to me.

Even though I would've liked to see a more extensive list of vouches, I don't think you're a threat to the community and will therefore offer my support.

DD was very hostile toward me and said in his own words "I don't owe anyone shit" when he owed at the very least his own customer here: [Resolved] Darkest Dream

To say this was "communicated badly" is quite the understatement. It's also inaccurate to say this was "paid back promptly." DD took the customer's money and ran off with it not replying to him or providing what the customer paid for in over a week. Obviously since this was a homework assignment this was a time-sensitive matter, you can see in the report the customer missed his deadline as a result of DD's scam. You can't even call it negligence, taking someone's money and not providing them what they paid for or refunding them in well over a week is simply a scam. Furthermore, this was only brought to my attention after I banned DD for a payment he owed Eut. DD failed to bring this up himself and blocked me after arguing and wrongly concluding that he owed nothing to anyone. These are not the actions of someone who prides himself on reputation, I can't support this TwC being removed

 

This is a textbook example of negligence, so that's what I'll call it. DD, if you know you're traveling for over a week or so, and cannot complete the services you took up prior to you leaving, you should've talked to your client(s) and asked if the assignment needed to be completed at a certain date, thus you would've been able to refund the person(s) in question if the timing wasn't appropriate for you to complete in a timely and respectable manner. Although I'm sure timing of completion was discussed prior to you accepting these orders.

I don't think you understand the consequences of your actions. I can't support this passive-aggressive appeal.

 

Although your communication skills during the week you had gone away were very sloppy and unprofessional with Eut I find you no severe harm to the community.

Most TWC disputes people come in with maybe $40 worth of vouches and try to dispute it.

You've presented middle man vouches with $100's of dollars handled that other people have trusted you with.

Videos response is not unexpected, he’s the one who applied the TwC.

1. In the screenshot, I call Video retarded. In the past we’ve done a lot of similar shit talking to each other, so I didn’t think something like that would bother him.
   
   
2. Yes, as I already admitted I told Video I didn’t owe anything. I was thinking specifically about Eut, which I didn’t believe to owe.
   
   
3. It wasn’t my intention to scam or rip anyone off, I was on vacation having a great time with my fiance and didn’t even think about Sythe. I even did work on his essay on the flight, but it just didn’t get to him.
   
   
4. When I got home I refunded the essay person, and paid Eut. Trust me guys, my grand plan wasn’t to scam like $100. While Video is trying to make this sound like murder, please remember I didn’t turn in an essay, and owed someone $30 for a week.
   
   
5. I feel bad about what happened, I’ve refunded everyone. I have a strong trading history here, and a good record of customer service. I’ve dealt with the TwC for a month already, and this is already my second appeal. I’ve gotten more vouches for higher amounts than in question. This shouldn’t be a permanent affixion to my profile.

Yes, I fucked up his order.

I didn't get him the essay in time, so he had to do it himself. That was really bad on my part.

He's been apologized to and refunded, so not much more I can do about it.

What I can say is my positive trades outnumber my negative trades 500:1. I've done dozens of essay orders with no problem, so this was an isolated fuck up on my part and it won't happen again.

 

I think DD acted irresponsibly and unprofessionally, however I think he's had his punishment (TwC for a couple of months, no longer CDT Leader.) I'm all for the removal of the TwC.

After coming to understand the entirety of this situation, I can firmly say I feel this TwC was given abruptly under false pretense. There are two sides to every story, but in this instance it only seems one side was taken into account. That being said, I can understand why the events occurred, but will unequivocally support this TwC being removed.
