I know. I wasnt a big Kassian fan for good reasons but it's amazing to see him clean up his life and give it all he's got on what really is his last shot. Glad Chiarelli decided to give him another opportunity.

Turned out to be a huge piece of our team's bottom/middle six, PK and overall team spirit. Guy brings it every damn night. He was absolutely integral to our success in the playoffs also. Wouldn't shock me if he put up 32~ points this year. He has speed, and actually some decent mitts, just his hockey IQ sometimes is ?????????

I can't wait for the season to start haha. Debating highly on getting Oilers @ Leafs tickets. I can imagine the ACC's prices would be crazy though, and likely sold out quick.

Too much money tied up in their core players so they don't have depth, they couldn't rely on stellar cheap rookies forever. :/

 

It's done, one-year $1 million contract and he's also eligible for $1 million in bonuses. Interesting enough, it's his first time in a Canadian team.

So what I'm hearing is he got tired of waiting for a $4M contract that no one would sign him to and just took the first contract offered to him so he could play this season lol

 

Had a good laugh lol. But in all honestly, $4m is a bit outrageous when you're declining. Of course he can still offer great services to any NHL team, but as a general manager, you have to follow the logic here and adapt to the new generation which is based on speed.

Cool that Jagr's back for another kick at the can. Hell, if he even plays 10 games this season he'll have been worth the money this year. No lose situation for Flames

I feel you pal, I'm a Montreal Canadiens fan...In the last 5 years, 3 out 5 of our first picks were complete garbage. They struggle to make the official team and they never stand out in the preseason games.
