2007´servers will get boring pretty fast without new content for people who dont like pking...

 

yeah but that was a f2p and p2p vote, this is just p2p, yeah some will buy membership just to vote, but i dont see many doing this.

 

TBH I'd laugh if we did get enough votes and jagex said no, it'd be one of the best trolls ever. Could have atleast waited until april fools day.

 

On that vote there were lots more accounts able to vote, as you didn't have to be a member.

It said in the post that they would be starting clean, he's guessing at the other things, as that's what you used to get back then.

 

Dis shit shud be released, seriously i'd love this. I'd finally be able to actually start the way i wanted without the issue of updates ruining the game.

Some interesting news;

 

Frankzz, very relevant to what I was going to post. The most interesting thing right off the bat will be how they go about re-introducing Rares. Let's be honest, Rares were an INTEGRAL part of the game in 2007. I have to believe Jagex will be looking for a way to implement them.

However, how do you do this effectively? Randomly give them away to people's banks? Use them as temporary, highly-rare rewards from NPC's (and how do they know the correct amount to drop before removing them from drop tables?) It's a really tricky proposition. You want relatively accurate supplies, where the values of Rares are Crackers > Party Hats > Half Wines > Masks ~ Santas ~ Edibles+Disk.

Really tricky spot for Jagex.

 

This game has been going downhill for a long time. It's good to see they're doing something about it. I just don't understand all the idiots raging at Jagex saying 'They're all about the money.' Of course they're about the money, they're a business and why would they turn up to work for free?

A moderator told me that our usernames will be the same as our existing usernames, so grabbing rare names is out the window.

Everybody on the forums are doubting even 100,000 votes but I think they will reach well over that.

I don't know if any of you can remember this but a Jmod once said(in 2004-2006? Totally forgot the date) something along the lines of this "if we knew what phats and other discontinued items would be doing to the economy we would have never introduced them(as tradebles), we wont be making the same mistake twice"

And yea how will they add them effectively, today everyone is aware of the value of phats or rather what possible value they carry with them, unlike back on rsc. This is going to get very interesting & exciting at the same time xP!

 

that was back in 04-06. I remember reading it to, but you got to remember the same people are not running the game anymore.

 

I reckon they'll have a limited amount of phats to buy at what street value they used to be. Get em' while they're hot.

Its pretty sad because I see people saying they bought members, just so they could vote. >_>
I'm going to laugh if we don't even make the required vote number for the server. Or what would be funnier is if no one pays for the '07 server because it'd be $15+ more.

 

I wonder if they can introduce the holidays items like bunny ears and scythes based on the age of your account or if you have one in the main game now.
Not a clue how they would add phats and masks etc. Even if they just dropped in the game they would still be worth a lot simply due to the players mindset on phats.
