2007-Pre 2007 Memories

hmm it was during rs2 beta. Just started playing i made it varrock went into a building. I forget witch one. I climbed down the ladder but i didn't know you could turn the camera with the arrow keys (lol). So i was stuck there for a days or weeks. I honestly don't remember it was so long ago. Everyday i would log in and wait for someone to come down and ask them how to get out. Eventually someone was nice enough to take the time and figure out my problem.


I also remember my friend(Irl) let me on his account. He had just for full rune(150-200k) at the time for a set. Pretty sure this was in 06-07ish. He told me not to go into the wild with his rune. Of course i had to!! So ya long story short i died. My friend quit and has never played rs ever again.

 

Spending hours running essence to the air altar and getting loads of pure essence.

 

best memory was when i made my firs 150m!!!! i started from 10k deaths merchanting in fallador!! then staked a ranger and i won!!

 

Started playing in RSC. Please excuse the fact that I'm new to Sythe, let me share some of my best memories:

• Playing RSC by myself when I was 10. Had dial-up internet. Didn't know how to play. Managed to get up to around 30 combat I think over the course of a really long time.
• RS2 launched. Levelling for the first time a few months after launch. Level 13 f2p. Make my first ever friend on RS, he helps me do the Imp Catcher quest in karamja since that was the best place to kill Imps back then.
• We decide to make a clan. We make our base the graveyard in Lumb. I'm nooby as fuck and have no idea what I'm doing, funny to remember.
• Level 16 (I remember that clearly) go into level 2 wildy to fight another noob. Remember high level players doing the dance emote all around. Scared to shit, don't understand the mechanics of the Wildy and think they can all attack me at any time. Manage to kill the other noob on really low health. I'm too scared to loot, I just run out of the wildy.
• Two of my close friends play now. We quest together often. Probably best time of my RS life. This is around 2005 I think. One of my friends manages to complete Heroes Quest, I'm really jealous.
• Finished Dragon Slayer really late because I'd been scared of it. Friend helps me through it. Really happy finishing it.
• Do Lost City, start Monkey Madness.
• Break from RS to play Habbo Hotel.
• Friend quits as well. Then gives me his account. Start playing again on his account.
• Complications with friend. He recovers his account. I get our parents involved (really funny in retrospect.) He gives me back my whip.
• Start new pure.
• Begin to get into the darker side of RS. Start botting using simple bots like AutoCursers and AutoAlchers.
• Lure with new pure.
• Make it into the big time after posting a few videos on YT. Luring with quite respected lurers. Make 100m+ on a good day. None of my irl friends play anymore.
• Have access to a lot of accounts with substantial wealth.
• Banwave. 90% of the accounts me and my online friends lured on are banned. Probably 2b+ is lost.
• Argument between friends. My account still isn't banned. I decide to cut my loses, end friendships and keep my account. Still around 500m in wealth.
• People I used to lure with start trying to recover my account. One of them succeeds. Moves my entire wealth off of my account.
• Keep playing on and off. Enjoy playing but no irl friends makes it boring.
• Cut ties with best friend that I used to play with for personal reasons.
• Have access to my really old friend's account with multiple 99s but don't go on it out of respect. He doesn't play anymore and I know I could easily screw him over, but decide against it.
• Play again on new account, bot it up to a main.
• Find new irl friend group. Discover my two best friends play RS and they'd been hiding it from me out of embarrassment. We all play.
• Wildy & free trade removed. Quit.

Haven't been back since because I thought the game had gone to shit with all the new PvP items. GS hitting 70+. D Claws. All the other shit. Wasn't worth it. With EoC decided I would never have a reason to play RS again. This changed it.

 

I remember going in wildy with full mystic and a magic shortbow. I ran to the green dragons where all the mighty pkers were and started attacking them with my ice burst. Of course I got almost owned but I made an epic escape. When I almost arrived to Varrock I saw a guy wearing whip and killing skeletons with a cannon (level 3 or 4 wildy). Since he was the same level as me, I froze him with my ice burst and went in for the kill with a dds. He picked up the cannon and escaped, but before he could reach the bank he died from poison. Since cannon protected over the whip he lost it. And so I was the happiest kid in the world at that moment.

 

I made a pure when my level 60 something main got banned. This pure is now my main but it started as a mage pure. I went pking at like 22 combat and ended up pking a black skirt (G) was so happy.

 

My best memory was luring with my best friend. We were young and stupid and figured out one day that our parents wouldn't know we spent our money on video game currency if we bought a vanilla visa card with the cash and then used that on gold selling websites. We were exstatic, we maybe had 300k between our accounts and all of a sudden we each bought 5mil ($5 a mil btw, gold used to be worth something).

He spent the night that night and we were on a spending rampage, he got full zammy rune armor and we were just walking around showing our inventories to noobs and had people following us around and everything, felt good man.

THEN, of course we were flaunting new money and it was obvious so some scammer saw us coming from a mile away and managed to get my friend to go with him to brimhaven for a "money fight". Looking back idk how we were so stupid but I gave a bunch of my stuff to him so he would win (I think they were gona show each other their invents and see who was richer). We found out that night that the tribesman on brimhaven poison 11's and there is no bank..........lost it all

THE GOOD MEMORY: We decided to repeat this scam, and perfect it. We wreaked havoc on everyone we saw, spending hours just carting people back and forth from falidor east bank trading area to their demise on brimhaven island. One night he had to log off for school and I stayed up a few more hours, I was getting everyone I tried so I couldn't just go to bed! Finally I got this guy, who was muted for god's sake trying to sell nature runes. He trades me and shows me 30k nature runes, so listen to this, I lure him USING FUCKING EMOTES. I manage to get him to follow me and get the 30k nats, I thought I was gona have a heart attack during the whole ordeal, that was over 9 mil back in the day!

TL,DR: Me and my friend bought money, got it scammed, recreated and perfected the scam, wrecked everyone with the scam, became 10 times as rich as we were before we got scammed, good times.

 

This is way too true, it was like the salvation army of Runescape and you could always find some good deals.
