2 or 4 stroke dirtbike

Hi, just wanted to hear which one youd go with, i would personally go with the 2 stroke because i had a husqvarna wr 125cc, the power to weight ratio was truly amazing pulling out close to 38 Horsepower, i was able to pull up wheelies in 6th gear, top speed was 140 km/h. Hopefully i will be able to get another one someday

Depends on whether or not you have the money to maintain a 2 stroke, they're very high maintaince.

2 strokes are nice because they're generally much more powerful, however a 4 stroke is more reliable and a better option for somebody who cannot afford to be constantly rebuilding the engine in a 2 stroke.

 

A 2 strokes engine is supposed to last around 250 hours and after that you got a major engine rebuild infront of you which is indeed very expensive, we changed piston and such things every 80th hour, gearbox oil every 10th hour/ air filter. Oil was probably what I spent most of the money on because quality is oil is expensive and especially when you have to mix it with the fuel everytime you decide to get some gasoline, i went with a 4% mix which means if you get 10L of gas ( 4DL ) of it is oil and that would cost you around 8€

75cc ish hit 100+km/h with it.

8€ to mix 10l of gas 40:1 with oil? How much does oil cost where you live?

 

1L ( 10DL ) of castrol's high performance 2 stroke oil is about 20-25€
