Explanation of the trade:
1. Was buying 1.5b off @sarsi for $750 with @pingy as MM
2. @pingy said he'd hold the BTC
3. I paid transaction fee (~$0.6) and sent @pingy $750 at blockchain rate
4. @pingy said he would give the guy whatever he got - sending (BTC sending) fee
5. @sarsi refuses to proceed with the sale and tells me 20 minutes later that he sold to someone else.
6. @pingy refunds me the full amount - ~$1.60 due to transaction fees.

At the end of the day, I shouldn't have to cop 2x transaction fees due to the other party refusing to co-operate and the MM should not be out of pocket for helping make the market a safer place.

@sarsi should repay me the 2x transaction fees due to all parties being ready to proceed with the sale and him suddenly deciding against it.

How they scammed: Refused to pay transaction fee.

If you two could come to some agreement over the $2 at issue here that would be great.

 

I told him its "bills" payment and if you gonna pay fees i am down for MM.

Also if we if we didn't use middleman, he was going to pay it. So its mean he need to pay MMs sending fee too if you check first picture.


Then i told, i cant make this deal while its bills payment and i need exactly 750 usd. He didnt wait 20 min or so, i sold gold within 3 minutes to yanlili. Cba to do trade with him.

I always try to be honest and fair, i cant see any reason to pay 1-2 bucks to this guy.

I will fight about it while i am earning this shit lower than 5 secs, its not fair.

 

I suggested a MM because neither of us wanted to go first. Is that not the right thing to do when neither party feels comfortable about going first? In relation to the not paying fees issue here, in the context that I agreed to, it meant the fee that MM charged to assist with the trade, not the transaction fee hence why I found a MM to do help us free of charge.

You speak of being "fair and honest", and what you're doing is the exact opposite. I paid my transaction fee to send the BTC to the middleman. You then backed out after being told that you would receive the BTC less the transaction fee. This is entirely your choice. Furthermore, it doesn't seem very fair when you don't say anything to anyone and just sell the gold to another person even though both the buyer and middleman are ready to proceed at anytime with the sale.

@sarsi you are repaying my transaction fees. Sorry to @pingy for the big waste of his time.

As much as I enjoy seeing two $200+ donors duking it out over $2, this is kind of silly...

Users are free to back out of trades at any time. If you incur a dollar or two in search fees associated with sourcing middlemen, that's on you.

The hit to your reputation that this thread is taking far exceeds $2 so I'll save us all the brain cells and close this. If you'd like to come to an agreement in private definitely feel free.
