How can we be expected to run a site which relies heavily on the users' perception of staff, AND let a subculture of cretinous haters fester in the spam forum?

When you pollute new user's impressions of the staff it makes it difficult to command respect, leads to aggressive and malicious trolling on all fronts and ultimately to a lack of respect for staff decisions and sympathy with scammers and banned users. (The endless runs of "free X" or "free Y" are a good example.)

I'm not paying to maintain the spam forum if it can never be more than a place to incubate people who hate this site and its staff. I'm trying to fix it, I'm trying to make it fun. Those of you who are not helping will find yourself forum banned or banned outright.

I've noticed that the WORST offenders tend to be people who were on staff briefly or who were demoted unexpectedly. This suggests to me that my perception of the issue is correct and the spam forum is being used as an outlet for the bitterness and unpleasantness of a few at the expensive of all.

Now I can take a joke, but I don't take malicious disrespect. Nor should the rest of staff. That is not what the spam forum is for. If you hate staff, you hate our decisions, you hate whatever about the site or the community, then by all means don't post here.

The spam forum is intended to be good fun. Not as a personal propaganda center for disgruntled ex-staff and not as a personal attacks forum. If you want to do that stuff start your own forum.

I've started taking mental notes on people who take every opportunity to rip on staff here. You've been warned.
