Hey,

After purchasing it from BestDealsHere I went on to sell it on the marketplace, I found a buyer by the name of Harunboy: http://www.sythe.org/members/184425-harunboy.html

Harunboy had then contacted me saying that the account he bought from me was recovered.

I tried recovering the account for him with the information that I received from BestDealsHere but it failed.

I have had extensive contact with both parties, and it seems there was a 4th party involved when Harunboys account got hacked, I have since then spoken to BestDealsHere who managed to recover the account and I'm trying to get the account back to Harunboy.

I would like some advice on the situation if possible.

I am in contact with BestDealsHere via mail and awaiting a response.

Case Resolved, Harunboy has been given extensive recovery information and has been refunded 28m 07 by Bestdealshere, 7m 07 by me.​

 

This is why account reselling is terrible. The more the account gets passed along, the more dangerous it becomes owning the account. If for whatever reason Harunboy wouldn't get the account, the responsibility of reimbursing him falls on you, and then bestdealshere would also have to pay you for the amount you bought the account for, sort of like a chain reaction.

I'm getting BestDealsHere to respond to this thread with his take on the situation, hopefully it will shed some more light on the the whole ordeal.

I'm the original creator of the account, It wasn't passed along or owned by anyone else. I sold it to Rosed like many accounts before that have never been recovered. I actually hold a few vouches for account sales. I'm pretty much done with the Sythe community account section to be honest. Just because anyone can claim anything.

I sold the account, then whatever happened to it from there was none of my business. Until recently I got a email personally from Rosed about the account being recovered (thought it was me originally). I explained that it wasnt me.

He and harunboy confirmed that it wasn't someone from California or the States at all that was on the account, but someone from the same location (same language) as Harunboy. After discovering this I did some Sythe digging on Harunboy to discover that he attempted to sell the account, got a bid, but then reported it to be removed for 'continuing to play it'.

My personal belief is that he actually received a buyer "used skype to discuss the entire thing" or sold it to someone where he lives, went to recover it, and it was declined by Jagex (most likely because I had accidentally given Rosed the incorrect Billing zip code which is an absolute need to recover), had swapped addresses on accident.

I then told Rosed that I would recover the account and look for transaction ID's to do so as well as use some of my personal information I would never provide anyone out there (due to risk of my family's safety).

I recovered the account two days ago, and upon logging on got someone saying in pm's to me in english (not the same language as Harunboy) stating why did you hack it back and that it essentially was just bought. I asked for the pin to see what was within the account, the person was hesitant but said there was like 30M in the bank at max and gave it to me. I opened the bank to find nothing of the sort. I looked through the only 4 tabs that existed, and nothing but nontradeables like firecape zhalo prospector farming secateur etc.

My opinion is that Harunboy played the account, got it's stats higher (strength to 94 from 86 & slayer from 72-83) and sold the account and then failed recovery due to my mistake with Rosed.

Either way, even though Harunboy talked mad trash back in forth pm wise with me while I was on it after recovering, I almost hesitated not to give it back to Rosed, because this guy pissed me off that much while trying to help Harunboy. And I wasn't sure if it was Harunboy or someone he sold it to.

Either way, I recovered the account and set the registered email address to [email protected] earlier today to help Rosed get the account back to Harunboy, because either way it isn't my account anymore.

If this issue occurs once more and Haronboy comes back stating that it got recovered or hacked etc, I will actually recover it again and keep it, regardless of Sythe perm ban.
It is possible that the account was simply hacked due to no security as there was no authenticator set when Jagex granted it to me. Which in that case neither Rosed nor I should be responsible for any GP that he's "claiming" was on the account. He can have the account back and do whatever he pleases. I expect him to authenticate this time around though, and I'm done dealing with this account after I sold it. And i'm not going to help any further than that.

I'm probably done with Sythe for awhile all together to be honestly.
I emailed additional recovery information and the corrected billing zip address (swapped address zip codes) and a Transaction ID from 2014 for the account so that Harunboy will have the perfect recovery information, once a pin is set, the account will be even more secure for him.

Np, Also I discovered that Harunboy received a 100M Bid from Iceman22 who is now apparently banned. I wouldn't be surprised if Iceman22 did pay the 100m before the post was reported by Harunboy to get it removed so it would be hard for iceman22 to find it, and probably even got Iceman22 banned some how. Harunboy is also a newcomer, so he could pull anything.

I tried recovering the account with the information I had, it seemed both of us didn't have recovery information initially that would allow for us to recover the account.

Also, BestDealsHere confirmed earlier on that there was in fact atleast 28m on the account but intended to keep it as some sort of fee for recovering the account.

Let me shine some light on the situation as a long term friend of Harunboy;

This is a picture from the 14th of march as you can see where I was doing venenatis with my mate, Harunboy. I unfortunately believe I do not have any more recent pictures but this should proof the ownership at the 14th and I can verify Harunboy had acces to the account up until the 18th of this month.

Now I already know the original owner is sketchy but let me try pointing it out to you.
1) you're saying he sold the account to a guy with 8 posts claiming to have done it over skype without an mm where he paid 100m himself and put in over a month of time (why sell it same price then).

You state it was confirmed the owner wasn't from California but to me that's not at all the case when in the screenshot above you can see the guy threatning to get the account banned in broken dutch (google translate) which to me indicates the old owner knew who owned the account and translated to their language.

3) After threatning to drop untradeables, get the account banned and afterwards claiming he could atleast have the items on the account the pin was UNWILLINGLY given to the original owner by Harunboy, this was 2 days ago and according to the original owner he already has acces to the account for 3 days since I posted this. Even if it were only for the fact that he asks for the pin, it's none of his business to look at anything from the account after he recovers it.

Harunboy also failed to recover the account with the information he received from me. (I can prove that the information handed down is a match if needed)

You're better off just giving him a full refund. The account is extremely unstable and you're going to be held responsible if it gets taken back once again. As you can see the original buyer doesn't seem to care.
