How safe is buying a runescape 3 account now?

I've been looking at purchasing a rs3 account from playerauctions and I don't want to drop $300 on an account only for it to be taken back. I was wondering how safe is it to buy an account now with all of the new safety features Jagex has for accounts? If I put my email on and Google authentication then is it even possible for the person to get the account back?

The only way it would be possible at all is if they didn't give you the original ip address the account was registered from, other than that you'd be golden. And even if they didn't give you the original ip, there's still a 99.9% chance that you'd still be able to keep it. There's potentially no risk at all . Also, I suggest you not buy an account from player auctions, and buy one from a trusted user on sythe. You can get one a lot cheaper on here.

 

Accounts are always recoverable, only buy from people you deem trusted otherwise you could lose that 300 dollars you plan to spend.

Accounts are always recoverable. Just make sure you buy off a very trusted user, and even then they aren't always 100% safe.

 

$300 wouldn't get you a secure maxed main,

he can easily recover it if he had been a member before using a credit card..he can just provide jagex with the last 4 digs of the number he used and it will most likely be recovered...not sure though !

 

buying accounts are the one thing I would be very cautious about because with enough old/original information you can recover and account if you really try. be careful

Pretty sure with the first registered email and IP you can always recover an account.

 

Just buy from a trusted user with a lot of history and you should be fine. Gurus, mods, big donors, etc and not newcomers/members who created their accounts last month.

 

Anyone can recover their runescape account at any time regardless of any security you add to it, simple as that. If you can't trust the person you're buying from, don't buy from them
