Need Advice

Brand new here and asking your opinions. I've been out of work for a few months due to unforeseen personal circumstances. Someone in my home town is offering me $200 face to face for this account and he knows I am in desperate need of the money. He is "playing it" as though he wants to help me out and that he doesn't need/want the account.
I am the original owner of this account with all recovery questions and security setups. I love RS and play every day, I have alternate account with 2300 total. I have to sell my guy today because honestly my fridge is quite empty and I have kids.
I don't know how this site works with all the abbreviations and such but I have read that I could potentially get more money and that this site would be a safe spot to sell.
I don't use paypal I don't use or trust skype (from rumors I've heard)

 

it's worth more than $200, but your lack of trust on the site won't do you any favors. i wouldn't be surprised if the guy who buys it pays you and tries to get on sythe and sell it for double that though

 

Basically what super said. Your level of trust drastically increases/decreases the price of your account. If you were one of the most trusted on the site your account could be worth upwards of $800. However you probably wont get $200 on this site because you don't have a reputation. It's all up to you. If the 6157 hours you put in is worth the $200 then take it. If not, don't.

 

$800+ is overkill and honestly don't expect anywhere close to this OP. I sold a max account with 100+ DG over 2 years ago for that much. RS wasn't split up into 2 games, it had a much larger playerbase and therefore more people interested. There were less max accounts as well. I was looking for $600, and it took weeks, until some guy offered $800 since I was in the middle of a transaction (that didn't go through because BT apparently doesn't work between our countries). The max account's owner was a $2.1k owner at the time.

BP2015, $500 would be a great price for your level of trust. $300-$350 seems fair. It's definitely worth more than $200.

 

Thank you for the comments. Dude tried to knock me down to $100 and I told him I'd eat cardboard instead of selling at that price lol. I'm spending the weekend at "livid farms" and I am going to continue to comp cape. I needed the money but everything happens for a reason and I must say I am a tad relieved it didn't sell

 

Yea I was thinking 400'ish with only untradeables in bank. I will read up more closely on how this site works and trust levels but for now I'll be going for my comp cape, ty

I haven't the irl money atm to donate the $25 it says I have to to become a verified user and only discovered this site a couple weeks ago. I have a lot of free time on my hands and spend hours playing Rs3, am getting closer to comp If I were looking to offer free services ; skills, questing do I just post an ad? I there a way to find members in my area that have rank and can face to face me to see I'm not a scammer and am legit? This is the first gaming type website I've been in and maybe I'm too old to learn "new tricks" lol scared of being a target for unsavory people. I've got no problem releasing mobile number/email address or facebook to trusted person, idk looking for feedback ty in advance.

Post your services under the correct sub-sections.

Only by asking other Sythe users where they live then arranging times and places to meet.
