actually your wrong again... He was banned for creating and selling a guide which included buying stolen gold and laundering it.

 

It went beyond stolen gold. He knew this guy under the alias Lebenfire was laundering stolen money through PlayerAuctions system to buy liquid intangible items (RS Gold being one of them). Instead of avoiding Lebenfire, he actually deliberately took as many orders as possible from him, knowing that PlayerAuctions would reimburse him for the money if he provided accurate delivery proof.

So this is not just laundering stolen gold, it is quite literally laundering stolen government currency.

That is correct but i was only stating why he was banned from sythe. I know he did these things, However he was banned for creating the guide and attempting to sell it for profit on richards website. (guide included how he implemented these tactics with lebenfire)

 

Right, so which gold sellers were permanently banned for buying stolen gold? I am failing to see how we received special treatment. Keep in mind that of the 2-3 reports for buying stolen gold, each of them were made by Ooga trying to sting Anne. He never actually proceeded with any transaction, and was more just looking to take advantage of language barriers than truly expose people for knowingly buying stolen gold. He'd use words like "phished" with Anne, which is a very difficult world to translate to Chinese.

Since that time, we have implemented systems which do a much better job at rejecting transactions with delinquent sellers. Anne asks customers before each purchase if their gold is legitimately obtained to make sure. Keep in mind, other sellers including Kevin and Arcus had the same issues with their agents, and were also given time to fix the problem. The illusion that people are receiving unfair treatment is silly. I think it has been handled very fairly.

Once again, do you guys have a single example of a Sythe user being perm banned for the reason" buying stolen gold"?

 

No none of the major gp dealers were banned. You were all given 1 week to clean up your acts. But i find it funny because ive never been asked if the gold i sell is legitimate.... However nice way of doing business. You can knowingly buy from known scammers but as long as u ask if its legit and they say "no" your in the clear lol. Not to mention the time "you" scammed ooga. Which by all rights makes you just as bad as him.

 

So please tell me hattez, how would you solve this situation? How can we distinguish between stolen / non-stolen gold any further than right now? We can't see the previous transactions done by the person. Tell us how you can distinguish stolen / non-stolen gold from people betting with you. Because it's the exact same thing.

Also how do you figure that I scammed Ooga? Because he was holding my Skype account hostage? You actually think I should have paid him $500 for giving me my Skype back that he stole from me? I'd do that again any day of the week. Why on Earth would I pay money for something that is legally my property?

Seriously though the pw people are talking about was Anne's ProvideSupport personal account, it would be tough to get any real scamming done on it before we shut it down. If someone really was setting up a password cracker targeting her ProvideSupport account, it would also require her login ID (which wasn't public).
