Meeting Leaguers IRL? Storytime!

Hey guys! Share your experiences learning of others that play league or finding league players! Idea came when one happened to me today, I'll share.

I was at Costco and saw their small Verizon kiosk, where I decided to upgrade my phone (had 2years already and reduced fee upgrade.) After the process was finished, the cashier saw my twitch app and asked what I watched. Sure enough, we both play LoL as well as his girlfriend. I texted his GF my IGN from his phone and he said he'd add me tonight. We've both been playing for about a year and discussed the new champions and updates.

The best part was when we both said "I didn't expect you to play League" and laughed. Both ~20, he was an average height black guy and I'm a tall gymrat w/ lots of tattoos.

Closest ive had was learning my friends also played LoL.

I kept it quiet cos everything thinks its nerdy etc.

They were talking and was like.. oh whats that one called, 40mr 720g and i just burst out 'you mean the negatron cloak'... Yup they got me l0l.

 

There's an employee I work with in masters. He's only like 18 lold.

 

None of my mates play LoL, a few play Dota casually (once every week/few weeks maybe a game or two).

 

I met my current gf from league who moved in with me from Canada all the way to Denmark.

 

I've played a few times with my old buddies from the good ole Halo days. Most of them started playing League and other FPS competitively. I'm not good enough to play with them yet, so I've been stuck with playing with myself lately.
