Sythe's 10th Anniversary
Hello members of sythe this is the last place I thought I would turn but I need your opinions, I have been dating my current girlfriend for 2 and a half years and everything has been great up until about 2 months ago. We had a great relationship but ever since we have moved in together things have went downhill. We used to have a very intimate relationship I work full time on a graveyard shift and she goes to school but ever since we have lived together it seems like we have no connection at all. Our sex life has turned into maybe once a week even though we share weekends off and even then any time I try to be flirty or kiss or anything she just acts like it's a chore to do anything. She also used to complain all the time about how we don't hang out enough and now she leaves all the time and could care less as to what's going on does anyone have an opinion on this?

It kind of sounds like she's not as interested as she was before. Have you thought about sitting down and asking her directly? Asking us before you ask your girlfriend of 2.5years seems a little redundant. At that point in time, you should have enough trust between you two to talk about anything. If she clams up, then something is definitely wrong with the relationship you two are in.

Maybe now is not the time to be moving in.

+1 to this post.

A relationship of 2.5 years?

In 5 months me and my ex would confront each other about everything.

You should too, best of luck

you should ask her how she feels about you, if the love is lost it's a rocky road from there.

Shes definitely not interested as ive been through this in the past relationships ive had, this happens when the girl gets bored of you/ finds someone else mainly, you could get her a long break and see if she comes back, my ex girlfriend pretty much did the same thing one day she just stopped putting any effort into the relationship and i just said fuck it cya

This is wrong.

I am in the exact same situation as you OP, I have been dating my girlfriend for 2 years and we moved in together 3 months ago. We were always adventurous and had sex about 10 times a week, but this has changed a good bit in the last few months in particular.

It is not the case she is bored of you, she may just be more comfortable with you. At the beginning of a relationship things are exciting, sex is new and you generally are more willing to go out/hang out/talk whatever. Gradually, couples just become comfortable, they see each other every day, and have to do the boring stuff like pay bills, manage money etc which causes the initial relationship excitement to fade. This is why married couples and in particular men complain the further a relationship goes.

I suggest you make a real effort to spice things up a bit and provide a bit of excitement which will in turn make her/you happier and hopefully as a result your sex life should pick up. Suggest you go see a movie. go for a nice meal. Go to the zoo. Go to a bar and have drinks. Be spontaneous!

OP this is the only post you just really read and follow. Hopefully you get back to being a happy couple.

Yep, this. You've officially exited the honeymoon stage. Welcome to real life!

If she isnt putting in any effort that doesnt mean shes comfortable its because she is not interested in you any more. I speak from previous experience but then again every relationship is different so you shouldnt be taking advice from here just talk to her

Shes not interested in you anymore. You should of start thinking for yourself and stop hurting yourself. Leave her and meet new people that will satisfy your needs as a man. You will eventually find another girl and she will love you as you deserve. Good luck
