1700$ USD pc good? or a surprise?

Watsup people im so fucking excited please excuse my language.... But today my uncle baught me a pc worth 1.7k i mean it's just fucking incredible i never dreamt that i would actually own my own personal built computer >.<. also i dont know the specs to the pc at the moment or to any of the components do to the fact that there not right next to me(Were building it tommorow so ill inform on that later on).

Well anyways all this was a big ass surprise to me rofl... We ended up going to FRY's electronics to pick up some checks that were owed to my uncle from his customers-forgot to mention my uncle does taxes and all that other junk so yeh he has clients all over... Well anyways when we got there we started looking at pc parts and he told me there were for his clients &quot;Okay lets make a long story a short story...&quot; Then once the pc was baught and we got into the car and drove off home he told me that the pc was for me YEH I WAS LIKE OH SHIT! lol...

WELL anyways some of the pc parts that i remember (i didnt really pay attention because i didnt think they were for me lol..) are
1. ASUS mother board dont know if thats good or not rofl...
2. Geforce 8600 dont remember anything else but that its a 512 mb card
3. Case dunno cant remember didnt pay much attention >.<
4. Cpu well i can remember is that it had 6 m of cache and a dual core with 3.2 Ghz or something like that....
5. LCD 20 inch dont remember anything else after that...
6. Sourround sound with 7 speakers...
7. Blacklight keyboard and also blacklight mouse cant really remember...

Well anywayz this is all i can remember for now but tommorow when i get the parts ill add the SPECs to them and all that other junk BUT yeh im happy as fuck... anywayz post away at my shitty SPEC assumption lol...

Also the PSU came with the case so i dont know if its a good one or a rather shitty one &quot;450 Wats&quot;..

Don't know if he should of or not... I mean i rather level 2 cache i dont even know if the processor has it or not thoe

looks like you got ripped off for 1.7k that should cost around 1k. But kinda hard to say with those unclear specs.

Yeah you should probably learn what your talking about then get all excited. I kinda agree with wtp on it being alot more expensive then it should be.

 

I could build it for like 800 (not including monitor and that shit)

But hey its still a fair pc.

 

I got a personal labtop for school, 2GB of ram, intel 4 proccesser Vista (<--Out of date but o well) Came with every peice of junk ever i need for school, came with 100GB of memory (I will never run out). And this story is almost like me exept when i went to the store i knew i was guna get my labtop. Whatever you do, dont get a virus going to bad sites, took me 2 weeks to get a big virus out of my computer. Cost a lot, Have a hella good time with your computer though.

 

Well yep thats about it... I dont feel like posting a pic up of the CD-ROM lol im too lazy... And then i also have the 2 sticks of ram each one equaling 1 gig... I think i know where most of my money went to... To the LCD screen and the Audio system which is 7.1 i beleive still in the car i know im sorry but we only built the computer i havnt used the keyboard or mouse and all that BTW the mouse and keyboard are made for gaming as well lol... The mouse has 1800 DPI and optical 360 laser or some crap like that... And yeh thats about it.. Anyways post away and tell me what i could of done better... I know its just gonna make me feel like shit but i feel i could of done better then this with the amount of cash my uncle spent

 

no offence, but the specs abit shitty, The Graphics cards, old-shit, 8800 duels, are way better, your processor and cpu speed is shit. Somehow i don't believe its 1700$

 

1700$ is possible the hardware only already cost like 1100-1200$ not to forget the price of the Screen which is like 300$+ so that comes to a total of at least 1500$.

 

After seeing the specs it's an "alright" pc, just the graphic card isn't really that great, but it'll do still nice

 

Man dont make me feel like shit lol... Well anyways i can always upgrade the only thing that killed me this time was the 7.1 sourround speakers the 56 dollar mouse and the 100 dollar keyboard then the LCD screen that cost 233-240 and yeah i think thats where most of my money went... But i can always upgrade well if you guys wouldnt mind posting some good upgrades i could make... (Max i could probably spend is 400 dollars) So yeah... just post away tell me what i could of done better the only thing i actually like is my ASUS mother board >.< I think its an alright mother board and my CPU yeh i know it sucks but it cost 249.99 so its not that cheap i dont think i can upgrade that... It's 45 NM i have no idea what that means but ima go google it right now lol =P "Maybe next generation cpus? rofl i dont know >..

100 dollar keyboard? jeez =\ and why bother upgrading now? you just got it.. wait 1/2 years and then upgrade, don't upgrade now. I didn't say it was bad I just said it was "alright" and NM = Nano meter = the size.

 

Well i wasn't going to necessarily upgrade it today, tommorow, next week or any time soon >.< I just wanted something so i can reference back to whenever i wanted to upgrade any of the components... But yeh i mean its an alright pc the only thing i play is CSS anyways... and it runs at max 1k FPS which is a 900 + difference from my older pc

 

How many GB can it store?

 

If you read... you would of seen that i have a 750 gig hard drive... and 2x1 Gb sticks

 

Looks pretty good for that price.
