Apparently he's not asian and still intends on paying Arcus back but he's got money troubles currently. He was a mod on Zarpor after sythe.org but only briefly. He's also told me "i am probably partly responsible for the actions of stui and also oogabooga in the fact I refused to acknowledge their pleas because of being too objective".

I think it's a very questionable ban on Derik. The guy is an absolute asset to the community, and should be given a little more benefit of the doubt than what he's been handed so far today.

In a very similar report, user "frankzz" was let off the hook for "old evidence". I fail to see how this imaginary line between old and new evidence is drawn. I can tell you that Derik is by far more of an asset to the community, and by far more trusted than "frankzz". I really have no idea how "e-whoring" and some Halo2 / Halo3 stuff from ages ago is grounds for a perm ban.

We should focus on getting rid of the real problems in the community. I guarantee to you that Derik is not one of them. This is a waste of staff time.

Also don't agree with deriks ban. Banning productive members for petty shit 3-4 years old is no way for site to stay afloat

What has trust/"assetable" to the community got to do with if they should be banned or not lol. If they broke a rule and staff deem it bannable then ban them. Just because they are a $9000 donor doesn't mean they should be let off.

This is a community, we should treat it like one. Character absolutely should play a role in disputes / bans. Even in the United States court of law, where it is much more difficult to get a true judge of character, character evidence is fully admissible when deemed relevant to the case:
