Any project RiD has ever made has remained behind-the-scenes until it was ready for beta release to the staff team, followed by the Hero rank, followed by the Veteran rank, followed by full public release. And every single project he's worked on has reached this beta release and been used. The fact that this specific project has taken ~6 months is not surprising at all given the magnitude of the project and the fact that RiD is the only developer. I've inquired with Computer Science experts earlier in the project and they all agreed that they'd be surprised if such a project would take less than 6 months.
Now, given the fact that you don't really have much experience with RiD, if any at all, I can understand where your skepticism and caution could stem from. What I'm saying is that I've been a part of the RiD community for close to 4 years now, and I have never seen anything during that time which would lead me to believe that any part of the Genesis project is a sham.
