Lol 0 for farts and 7 for burps. But yea burps are way more acceptable. If it happens once people aren't really bothered by it. But when you fart people are automatically obligated to leave and shun you.

 

Using the word socially acceptable is not really the way I would describe it. I think it's more of a question of which one would you rather be around a fart or a burp and I think the answer is pretty straight forward with most people.

 

not with my roommate... he literally farted for at least an hour this morning.

You could have just made a poll in your thread, you know that right?

Also, burps. In some cultures burping is polite, as where farting is never polite. Burps, if they smell, typically smell for only an instant. Farts linger however, and create an unpleasant environment.

Loool some of my friends fart so much honestly I've gotten use to it, but when they burp they let like 5 burps at once so i'll say fart. Sometimes fart doesn't even smell it's those silent but deadly one's you gotta be careful off.
