listen man u cant quit ... i try over 10 time to quit but that really hard..

 

After my membership runs out at the end of the month I'll be a retiring for a while, if not forever, from RS. It's been a crazy 11 years since I started and it has been fun most of the time.

 

I'm in the same boat as you OP, I managed to quit the game before my GCSE exams and managed to get excellent gcse results, to be able to do what I want to do at A-Level (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and maths) Which are all quite tough, and require a lot of hard work, however I have recently found myself back and even more addicted to this game than I was before, honestly right now its my christmas break and I am playing this game around 12 hours a day, maybe 7 when I decide to go out. I find the game 50% enjoyable and the other 50% is just a grind, so I'm really trying to get through all the fun bits of the game this break and hopefully it will give me incentive to quit when I'm done with all the fun stuff and gotten to the boring stuff.

Anyway goodluck to the both of us and honestly the reason I quit before my GCSE exams was when the EOC beta came out, and the jmods said it is a permanent update blabla, after finding out I hated it I quit asap, and now I actually like it once I came back to RS3.

I also used about 200m ingame cash to buy the gold premier membership package, = 1 year memb + some other features
This is not going to help me and I don't know why.. I would do something like that

I quit when I was 16 which was in 2009 never logged in after that and now its 2014 I just turned 21... I was told by some of my friends who use to play to log in 1 day a couple times to check things out but no thank you... Exactly what you said since i quit i gone to the gym 2 years straight started college bought a car got a job changed my life lol but no girlfriend i'm legit done with women for a good year.

 

I couldn't agree with this more. I have no motivation to play for fun. I only log on to maintain my bots, and sell GP.

 

I didn't quit the game (and probably never would have) --- The game quit on me with the removal of gambling and this EoC Bs.

 

Most people that quit always come back around to play!

 

It's pretty hard quitting a game you love but if it's for your future, you gots look into it. I play rs and still get good grades. If things aren't the way you like the. To be, put more effort in studies but in the end it all depends on you.

Tbh without runescape, I would've never known what a hatchet was and a question on my state test in 3rd grade asked "what is a hatchet" and I was like RS HELPED ME

 

Quitting this game is extremely difficult. At one point I did quit the game for 3 months, however that was only because I was playing a different game - which gave no difference in results of grades in the end. Still, I came back to the game >.<

 

eoc bye bye, 07 was fun but its such a dying community and not as fun as it was when it came out, for now i cant play the game i may come back if something special happens :c

 

A couple years ago I would have told you no, that I'd always play this game at least to some degree as long as it existed.

After the eoc/rs3/micro-transactions that opinion has changed, I've actually cancelled my membership and have no intention of ever logging in again. (except maybe to MM)

It's possible, many of my friends have, just start to play with more self -control, that's what i do nowadays anyway.

 

Yep! Before EOC, but after the armor changes etc, I was trying to quit but COULDN'T! but when RS3 + EOC came. I had enough and now I find this game to boring to even login. I most often don't get past the login screen. xD

Two of my completionist accounts got banned, so I had no other choice but to quit.

It's possible, just need a good reason.

 

If you get a girlfriend and start going out to parties, then yes, super easy. Girls are the number 1 thing that keeps me off the game

 

good on you bro! And its a good game to play if you know how to manage your time properly.
