    Can RS shut Sythe down?
    Curious if Jagex can shut sythe down or give it legal issues? Or is sythe ran offshore?

    Sythe has been up for 8 years, if they can shut us down, they are doing a bad job of it.

    As outlined in the link Zuzel111 provided Sythe is more or less just a gathering point for users to sell their own products/services. Sythe doesn't directly offer the service and thus makes it very difficult for Jagex to do anything.

    It cannot. Seeing as sythe doesn't encourage the use of the random dicer to gamble and it even states to check your local/state/national laws to see if you are legally allowed to do so.

    It would be like shutting down porn because people under 18 are viewing it.

    If it was the case, Jagex would've done so long ago. Jagex announced their hunt against rwt companies and companies were fined; that doesn't affect sythe because it's not abusing rwt; such things can be done in facebook or twitter and runescape cannot do anything about it.
